Hello ***,
I received a letter from the DOJ regarding the payments you
made towards the eyeglasses you wanted
First off I am very sorry to hear about your motherI cannot imagine how heartbreaking that is,
and does help us in knowing the situation that you have been put in this year
This Is kinda of a hard situation for us, our policy is and always has been one that most
small businesses adhere to "no refunds and only exchanges" as stated on all our receipts.
As with most small businesses we run on tight budgets
This policy applies to making payments on a purchase and we view this option as
a way of helping people afford a quality pair of eyeglasses.
There are costs and obligations incurred by us when we do this and it is why most optical stores do not offer this service.
We do try to follow up with our clients as a courtesy and
when we spoke with you last year it wasn’t that we had someone that wanted
your glasses (as we still have the pair you wanted in inventory), but to make
sure you remembered about the frames you wanted.
We have in our notes that you stated you thought you wanted a different
pair and would come in sometime to pick out a new pair.
All this being said we would like to work with you towards an amicable solution,
knowing more of your story we would like to offer you as a courtesy a refund of $250.00
which would leave $to help cover the fees and costs we have incurred over
the year and a half of holding glasses for you
We would gladly offer you the $in-store credit to use in our store for what every you may need
As well as an additional $in-store credit to help make amends for any ill feeling
We don’t want to lose you as a client and would like to work with you in the future.
Unaware of the extenuating circumstances that you have had this past year,
I wish that we could have talked in person about these prior to this
Please let me know if you are willing to accept this and we will figure out the best way to clear this up
