Asthma Allergy and Clinical Immunology

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Sincerely, [redacted] As I stated before I am scheduled for total knee transplantation and before that two hand surgeries .The given amount for these three surgeries is a total of eight months of physical therapy.At NO TIME was a new batch of medicine mentioned to me by the physician or ANY member of his staff !!Not only would I have told them NOT to bother on my behalf, but I also would not ask anyone to hold medicine that was not working for me for an additional eight months.That simply does not make one bit of logical sense what so ever.I had No plans to return there especially after being told by one of my surgeons that no patient of his had ever received any relief from their allergy shots !! I have also contacted the Medical Quality assurance commission concerning this matterthis is not the first time Medicare has been billed fraudulently by a Doctors office, as I am confident that it happens frequently by thousands if not millions

When this patient was in for her yearly appointment, continuing the allergen immunotherapy was discussed To achieve results with allergen immunotherapy typically patients receive shots for to years Our allergy serums are made up on an individual basis; as such her serum cannot be used for anyone else and it is usable for one year before it expires The patient decided to discontinue the allergy shots after the serum was already made up We have reached out to the patient and left a message on her voicemail to see if we can discuss further She is welcome to come and continue her allergy shots once she is able to be up and about again, or we can transfer them to a doctor's office that is in a more convenient location if she would like to receive her shots somewhere else
