Review: In booking a room at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in New Orleans I discovered that they offer a BEST PRICE GUARANTEE. I found the room for the exact same nights on Priceline for less. They refused to honor that guarantee and give me the lesser rate or the night free.When I pointed this out to a manager with IHG they told me to book the room and then click on the BEST PRICE GUARANTEE, which I did.When I disputed this with them and sent them the rate from Priceline. They claimed it was because the rate I selected on THEIR site was a Senior rate. The Senior rate was the best rate I could get on their site. Their other rates were even more!Desired Settlement: Their BEST PRICE GUARANTEE states I would get their rate and a night free. I ended up canceling their reservation when they did not honor their advertised guarantee. The least IHG can do is give me a night stay.

At this time, I have not been contacted by Crowne Plaza (IHG Hotels) regarding complaint ID 10224769. I DO NOT want this closed. I want my complaint heard. It is false advertising and consumers should know this before they book with this hotel.

Review: To Whom It May Concern;

I am writing seeking assistance with the following issue.

On August 23, 2015 I made a reservation with Crown Plaza Hotels in New Orleans, arriving on the 5th of February, 2016 departing on the 10th of February, 2016. On my receipt it states I have up to 24 hours for cancellation. I doesn’t note state that my payment will not be refunded if I cancel nor that I needed anything more than the 24 hours prior to cancel. I have my receipt to attest this claim.

Unfortunately due to a medical emergency (my son has Acute Myeloid Leukemia) I was not able to travel to New Orleans, LA. I state this reason being due to my sons condition I would never book anything that would not allow me to cancel for at any moment’s notice his condition may alter.

At this point the hotel send me an email stating they require 72 hours cancellation and that they will not refund my money. When I submitted a copy of my receipt which does not state such a thing to the company; they are stating that was a mistake from their website that it is not on my receipt. I state that had I known such a thing I would have never made the reservation with them.

I am requesting that my payment be refunded in full, for their mistake has nothing to do with what is stated on my receipt.
