Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Since Mr [redacted] outlined the facts, I will continue in his methodology by highlighting the fact that no fuel pressure existed because the car ran out of gasThere was no gas in the tank and the car stalledDuring any routine inspection I would suspect that checking for gas would be one of the very first tests a well-established service center would think to runI understand Mr [redacted] 's concern to protect the safety of Astorg Motor Company and I respect his decision to refuse the service; however, again, after my mechanic in [redacted] properly diagnosed the car (loss of fuel pressure due to no fuel in gas tank) put two gallons of gas in it (upon which time it resumed fuel pressure and started normally), and diagnosed the apparently unsafe upper ball joints and tires he revealed that those parts were indeed worn, however, not worn to a point that would presently merit hazardous outcomesMy mechanic recommended that I replace the tires before winter and the ball joints within the yearFact: Astor Motors Mercedes-Benz Certified service technician misdiagnosed my vehicle and could have (if I consented to repair) taken $of my money for a repair that was unnecessaryFact: A well-respected mechanic that works on an array of foreign and domestic cars was able to properly identify the issue and was able to get my car back on the road in less than a day's timeFact: I spent over $in fees that I would never have accrued had the Astorg Motor company gotten the diagnostics test right in the first place Regards, [redacted]

I understand Miss *** frustration with this matter, but here are the facts. The vehicle was towed into our shop and on Monday 7/20/was inspected by the shop foreman for a no start problem. The vehicle was found to have no power to the fuel pump. As part of any repair we do
a routine inspectionThe foreman found both upper ball joints worn out and all tires worn through to secondary rubber and multiple nicks and cuts in themMy shop foreman felt that it was unsafe and may present a liability issue for us if we repaired the vehicles drivability problem and put it on the road. I then inspected the vehicle myself and confirmed the safety issues. I went to our General Manager and told him what was going on and ask what our liability would be if we did the repair. We discussed having her sign a waiverThe GM called our company Lawyer Harold Salsbery, He advised us that a waiver would NOT release us from liability so we chose not to do any repairs.*** ***Service DirectorAstorg Motor Company ***
