My elderly parents brought their Jetta with 30K miles on it (typical old car that you want to buy from an old couple who drove it on weekends) with transmission problems. After having to take it back three times because they didn't fix it properly...and by this I mean my 70 year old mother and 85 year old father getting stuck on the Grand Central Parkway...it is still having problems.
After taking it to this shop to get it checked out for a long road trip, the car got a clean bill of health. Great right? Yeah, well, when we got to our final destination (AZ) the check coolant light comes on. Naturally, take it in to the dealership the next day...car needs an oil change anyway. The dealership takes one look at it and are amazed we got as far as we did. Back brakes...bad...warped bad. Belt...cracked almost all the way through. Transmission...leaking. Water pump...leaking. Oh, did I mention that when this crackerjack team "fixed" the transmission for the third time they put the steering wheel on crooked? Yeah...quality work.
Can't get the car out of AZ without doing $2K+ work on it to make it safe. These people lied and played with our lives. They took advantage of a trusting elderly couple. To say that I am disappointed and disgusted is an understatement.
