Review: I went to see apartment through Astoria Home Realty not "Astoria First Realty" and was shown a place in Astoria by agent [redacted]. My roommate and I really like the place so they told us to come back tomorrow with our paperwork to put a deposit down on the place. When I came to put deposit down of $1000, they told me the landlord of the property was in Europe and would return to sign the lease with us. I left with a receipt verifying this transaction. Two weeks go buy and the landlord finally returns, and first I am kept waiting for a decision. And then when I get a phone call the landlord could not get their current tenants out of the house. So essentially we were denied and on my receipt it says if I am denied I get my refund back. [redacted] tells me to call [redacted] who is the manager and he will process refund. I call him and he is all sweet explaining situation and tells me refund our only processed on the [redacted] of the month and he will call me back June [redacted] confirming for me to come in on June [redacted] for refund. I call him on [redacted] because he doesn't call, and he hangs up on me after yessing me to death. I have my boyfriend call him and [redacted] tells him my roommate and I have been hounding him. This was my second time calling him and my roommate never spoke to him. He tells my boyfriend he will call me on June [redacted] to verify my time to come in on June [redacted] for refund. He does not call, I send my boyfriend there on June [redacted] and [redacted] is at hospital supposedly because his mother has stroke. We set up another time for Wednesday June [redacted] at 1pm. He now claims the broker is not there and cannot issue us refund. So we have another time to come on Monday June [redacted] at 12. I will proceed with police report even though the real estate agent begged me not to.Desired Settlement: A refund of $1000 in cash as soon as possible

Review: We signed a document stating that if the apartment we were seeking to purchase has been sold, or the landlord denied us, we would receive a full refund back. Dino, has ignored calls regarding the refund of $1000. He has disrespected my roommate and it has been 3 weeks since we have received the refundDesired Settlement: 1000.00

Review: We had put $600.00 cash down initially in order to ensure that the apartment we had signed a lease for would be held for us until the full security deposit was sent in. When the lease agreement fell through on an apartment the business had helped us find in Astoria, the representative we were working with verbally agreed to give us a full refund. We also went to the realtor office and asked for the refund in person during which [redacted] was rude and refused to give the money to us immediately. The business claimed they would overnight the cash and/or check amounting to the $600.00 however the money was never sent. We have made numerous phone calls to the business asking for the money back and each time we were told that the money would be sent. We have still not received the refund of $600.00.Desired Settlement: The full refund in cash or check mailed back to me.
