Review: Called for a moving quote on 5/** for a move on 5/**. Spoke with [redacted], provided a quote of $110/hour for 3 guys to move a one bedroom apartment from Astoria to the [redacted] for pick up between 12pm-1pm. I explained to [redacted] that it was VERY important that they start at 12pm because our new building had very strict move in times of 10am-4pm. Called [redacted] on 5/** to confirm movers. He called AND text messaged me to confirm movers would be there between 12pm-12:30pm. on 5/** at 1pm, we contacted [redacted] as the movers weren't there. We got a call saying they'll be there at 3pm! I called [redacted] and again explained the importance of our move happening on time, he said the movers would be there in 25 minutes. They showed up at 2pm. We could not move that late and had to cancel and push our move back to Monday. [redacted] called us again and apologized and offered a 15% discount to move us on Monday first thing in the morning. Monday comes, the movers show up on time and [redacted] tells us the rate is $130 an hour. We explain the situation to him and he says he doesn't know anything about the discount. We call [redacted], he confirms $95 an hour and says he will call [redacted]. So we proceed with the move. [redacted] tells us that he has not heard from [redacted] or anyone confirming the discount. I called [redacted] again, he confirms AGAIN, and hangs up on me. Still no communication to [redacted] or his boss. I speak to [redacted]'s boss, he says the best he can do is $115/hour. I try [redacted] again and his phone is disconnected. At this point, I had no choice but to pay the $115/hour as the movers (who took their time) had already loaded our stuff. The entire move ended up costing me $755. [redacted] made us pay before we unloaded and charged us until 2:30pm (5.25hrs). My boyfriend and I helped unload and everything was completely finished by 2pm. I asked for a refund of 1/2 hour, [redacted] spoke to his boss [redacted] and he confirmed we would receive a refund of $57.5 for 1/2 hour. [redacted] would not sign but verbally confirmed.I never received the credit.Desired Settlement: I DEMAND a full refund on this move as it cost me a full vacation day of work, an unpaid vacation day of work for my boyfriend, an enormous amount of stress, and a huge inconvenience to my life. I was forced to pay the rate as the movers had all of my belongings on their truck. I was lied to, manipulated, and received the absolute worst customer service of all time.
