I have a verizon phone and Asurion is their insurance provider which I pay forI bought a new Samsung Sedge and unfortunately I was under the impression that Asurion would cover their end of the agreement in regards to replacing/repairing my phone within the advertised time (2-hours or next day)...what they do not tell you that they will do everything possible to not abide by the term of their contractFirst after submitting a copy of my drivers's license, downloading a claim form (which has to be done by hand or typerwriter then scanning it and uploading it to their site)You wait for a few days then they tell you they have received the forms and they are under reviewNOTE: They do not work past 5cst or weekends so if you hapen to damage or loose your phone during the time you are not sitting at your desk at work...then you are *** for a few daysA*** *** ***if this sounds crazy, this is how it feels when submitting a claim with this guys....you then get an email to check your status online...they do not give you the claim number on the e-mail or a valid linkSo you better tattoo your claim number as you will need it consistently but will not be provided a reference on any communication with them...once you log in type the claim number, your phone number, I got a cryptic message that says "we are unable to accept your submitted Documentation" after a puzzled look I , press the "live chat" button....luckily it says that I will be attended to in minutes....yay...my excitement dies after the time begins to increase and after an average of ten minutes the chat window says "There are no agents available"sad face...maybe it was a fluke...after I do the same thing FIVE times with the same result, I resort to calling and after over an hour of trying to contact a human beingI get a person from a call center that essentially relays the criptic message to meI ask what do you need, I submitted the filled form and my valid driver's licenseHe states "we did not receive it" I ask well then why do I have an e-mail that states that you did he simply says "we did not receive it"....I am extremenly frustrated and agree to send it again...I am on my third try and I keep getting the same run aroundIt has been over a week and a half since I submitted my inital claim...I bill my professional time at $250/hr and at this point despite the perceived idea that people will abide by the terms of an agreement I am certain that Asurion has no intentions of doig this but border on fraud...their growth and profits are lined by the fact that they frustrate people into just going and having their devices repaired while at the same time paying the monthly premium of what they beleive is insurance when in *** *** ***...my phone given the time spent, plus the insurance money is now costing me more than if I had just bought a brand new phone to replace it....DO NOT GET THIS INSURANCE and if you have alredy CANCEL IT as soon as possible unless you are a given person and want to give them your money for NOTHING
