Customer purchased vehicle some time agoKia of Greenville assisted customer in obtaining financing through a third party lenderThis lender required a variety of items in order to approve the loan (proof of income, residency, etc, etc)Kia of Greenville allowed the customer to take possession of the vehicle under a "Conditional Delivery Agreement"Customer reviewed and signed said agreementThis agreement allowed him to take the vehicle and trusted him to provide us with all the information the lender requiredCustomer agreed to these terms, which included, but was not limited to, that should he fail to provide in a timely manner Kia of Greenville would have to take the vehicle back and that Kia of Greenville would charge $per dayThis customer failed to provide information as required, refused to communicate or return the vehicleThus causing Kia of Greenville to hire a towing service to recover the vehicleFurthermore, we have no keys.Once we obtain all our property, inspect the vehicle, and adjust for the outstanding days, we will refund the balance ( if any)Customer should bring all the keys to MrKen D [redacted] at Kia of Greenville as quickly as possible to avoid additional chargesThank you, Bob H***

Good morning Cindi,I met with Ms [redacted] yesterday at Kia of GreerWe addressed her concerns and re-performed her services that she had performed at Kia of GreenvilleMs [redacted] told me she was very satisified with her visit and she met with our Service Manager Mark T [redacted] as wellShe stated she trusted him and felt very comfortable.I advised customer she had my direct cell if she needed anything to please give me a call. Please let me know if anything further is needed?Regards,

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint Regards, [redacted] First of all, they did forget to tighten the oil plug, and I have oil in my driveway and then there is the oil at my workService Manager [redacted] made threats to my wife, by saying if I did not accept his terms he would not leave me a car to drive home at 2.00am [redacted] was very ugly and rude to my wife [redacted] stated my wife did not know what she was talking about when she stated there could be engine damage to the vehicle, after driving it miles to workWhne my wife stated she worked as a mechanic for years [redacted] then refused to communicate with her anymore because he knew at this point she knew what she was talking aboutMy place of employment contacted me today asking that I ask Kia of Greenville to come to their property and get the oil up out of their parking lot, I called [redacted] he assured me he was sending someone to take care of that "right now"No one from Kia of Greenville ever showed up at [redacted] , as [redacted] had assured me they would. This is typical of their assurance which to me is a lieI call it as I see itThen [redacted] calls me today telling me they are going to bring my car to me at NIGHT to [redacted] I told [redacted] No thanks I prefer to come to Kia in the day time and check my car out before it leaves the parking lot so I can see for myself in the daylight that my vehicle has been repaired and all the oil off [redacted] didn't like that ideaPlus I want to be able not only to check my vehicle out before it leaves kia, I want a detailed report of what they did, and a statement that they put my car on the computer and ran a check to make sure there is no engine damage. Then we are taking my car directly from Kia of Greenville to another independent dealership to have a second opinionWe don't want the vehicle taken miles to my work, then me drive it another miles home at 2.00am only to find out it wasn't fixedThis dealership must have a lot to hide if they want me to take /accept my vehicle in the dark after they have driven it milesMaybe so they can say I damaged it on the way home? Also I contacted another Kia dealership and they told me IT IS QUITE POSSIBLE that the engine was damaged , so Guess different dealerships have different opinions, some are honest and some are dishonest After [redacted] treated my wife so rude, and then tried to force me to take my vehicle back at night, what are they trying to hideNo I do not accept and it is a lie that Kia of Greenville has done what they said they would do, and yes [redacted] admitted to my husband and his co-workers they messed up

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint The response does not address the lack of time between the April visit and the September letter dated in May I was hoping for a reasonable responseI will continue this complaint with the State Attorney General's office of consumer affairs I will also find the names of the actual owners of the business and file the complaint against them as well I fully understand what happened here The condescending tone of the response is enough and compounded by the lack of substance, a clear indication of the managers misunderstanding of his clients intelligence Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me Regards, [redacted]

Thank you for forwarding this matter to my attentionI have spoken with our General manager [redacted] spoke with this customer and [redacted] confirmed that that while he did win the [redacted] gift card, it was clear that he did not win any other giftKia of Greenville sent this mail to promote and advertise for a sales event; while there was a prize incentive for guests that come in, it is not deceptive in any wayIt is clearly an advertisement for a car salePrior to us sending out any advertisement in the mail, it is fully vetted by outside legal counsel and meets both the letter and the spirit of the lawWe do not engage in improper and deceptive advertising nor did we with this customer.I am sorry that he is unhappy, and I will ask [redacted] to again reach out to him to review his mail piece and discuss Thank you [redacted] ***

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint Regards, [redacted] While they did re service the Kia soulStatements made by Service Manager [redacted] on the print out of services they did to repair the problem caused by their service tech, their employee, is NOT entirely trueMy driveway has a huge puddle and drips all the way out the drivewayWhile I agree there had to be a little oil left in the engine, I do not agree they have done everything one would expect as a customerFirst of all we paid for an oil change and service. What we got was an unsatisfactory and very poor job of servicing our vehicle and carelessness and poor quality of the Tech doing the jobI sent the Revdex.com the items and services the Tech tried to sell us for our vehicle, and also copies of iinvoices when much of the services Kia said we needed had already been done last month, and they tried to tell us no we had not had these items fixed, one of which was a wheel aligmentThe tech was so fixed on using "scare" tactics that he forgot to tighten the oil plug which led to the issue with the oil dripping out of the vehicle ever since it left Kia of Greenville. Also when we contacted the service manager [redacted] , he was rude, he made threats to my wife, he threatened to leave me stranded at my job at 2.00am UNLESS we did exactly as he saidBecause of Kia of Greenville mistake, I lost time on my job, then they tried to force me to take possession of my vehicle at night when I could not inspect it and I was on my jobWhen a customer pays for a professional service, they expect to get a professional quality job, not one that you have to contact them the same day only to be talked to rude and have threats made to you because of THEIR mistakesMy wife had also requested to talk to the General Manager [redacted] and he refused her call twiceShe had taked to another manager named [redacted] who contacted [redacted] , and [redacted] instructed her to call [redacted] he was waiting on her call which she did immediately and he refused her callWe have never been so insulted, so disgusted, and lied to, as we were with the management of Kia of GreenvilleAs [redacted] threw up in our face,HE AND HIS WIFE WERE EATING DINNER WHEN HE HAD TO BRING ME A VEHICLE TO DRIVE, WE SHOULD APPRECIATE HIM, WELL ON THE OTHER HAND, [redacted] SHOULD BE GRATEFUL OUR VEHICLE DID NOT RUN OUT OF IOL BEFORE I REACHED MY EMPLOYMENT, customers should NOT be treated in such a degrading manner, because the company made many mistakes

Thank you for forwarding this matter to my attention and allowing me to respond.Under the terms of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) anytime an offer for credit is made and the consumer either does not qualify or the offer for credit is conditioned in some fashion and the consumer rejects the terms of the offer for credit (and a lease is considered credit), the company is required to send what is called an "Adverse Action Notice"That is all we have done here with this consumer; we have sent and Adverse Action letter as required by law to notify the consumerMany consumers think that somehow this notice is reported to the credit bureau or has some impact on their credit score; that is not trueIn fact, Kia of Greenville does not report anything to any credit reporting agency as we are a purchaser of credit information, not a provider of such.It is my understanding that all this was explained to this customer and on several occasionsHopefully my explanation will resolve this matterIn any event, we have done what we are required to doSincerely, [redacted] ***

Thank you for forwarding this matter to my attention [redacted] has spoken with customer on several occasions and we have addressed the concerns the best we canAs for the service issue, again, we have addressed the issue as best we canSincerely, [redacted] ***

We are more than willing to stand behind our workIf we made such a mistake as described (oil leak) then we will stand behind our workThe vehicle will need to be brought to our facility for analysis and we will make any necessary repairs should we determine we are at fault somehowPlease note, that a vehicle with no oil plug and no oil would not operate miles - it would seize the engine well before miles. While I understand the customer's frustration, when he called us we immediately dispatched someone to pick up the vehicle, we did not shirk any responsibilityCalling us liars and thieves does nothing to solve his concerns, nor does it create a spirit of cooperationIf they want the vehicle evaluated and possibly repaired, then we will need to have access to the car at our facility, and ours only [redacted] ***

We have spoken to Mr [redacted] since his visit, We explained the pricing error was made by our web provider We have reached out to Stephanie P [redacted] at [redacted] and she is working the problem We also offered to sell Mr [redacted] the car at the incorrect price as a show of good faith This offer was made after his initial visit
