AHHE received a request to pick up the rental 5cooter on 7.14.14 (Attachment D).
No communication was made with AHHE during the time customer had our Scooter in their possession. We did not receive any calls/complaints.that our equipment was not working properly. If we had been contacted we would have either repaired or replaced the equipment immediately.
It was not until 7.22.14 that we received a request to refund the•rental charge for the Scooter (Attachment E).
Refund request was denied after consideration of the following facts:
1.        AHHE was not notified that the equipment was malfunctioning during the time of rental. The customer did not call AHHE even though they had our phone number. Our phone number is on all copies of the delivery ticket that was signed by the customer (they are left the same copy). It is also located on an AHHE Label located on the Scooter.
2.        The customer retained possession of the equipment for the entire rental period 7.10.14 thru 7.14.14.
3.        No mention of the malfunction at the time of pick up on 7.14.14.
4.        First notification of any issue with the scooter was on 7.22.14. 8 days after the final pick up.
5.        The final and most important reason is the fact that the Scooter was working properly when returned to our warehouse.
We feel that AHHE's decision was warranted based on the above events/facts. If we were notified of any issue we would have corrected it immediately and if the Scooter was found malfunctioning when we picked it up the customers refund request would have had a different result.
