Review: I was sold a bra that does not fit (much to small). I am unable to wear without the lower edges rolling up and under - front and back of my breast line. This makes it much to uncomfortable to wear.Desired Settlement: A full refund in the amount of $85.70.

Business' Initial Response

On May 22, 2013 Ms. [redacted] came into At Last Bra and Lingerie and said we were recommended to her by her friend, and our client, [redacted] She said that she wanted to be fitted. We took her in the dressing room and measured her. As with everyone, we then took in several bras that, we thought would fit her body type and we tried them on her and she said they all fit. She said that she was really please with the bras and that she could never find bras that fitted her and she was glad that her friend told her about us. She said she was happy and she felt really good about what we tried on her. She purchased two bras.

On May 28, she came in with both bras and said that she did not like the bras that they didn't fit her like she thought they should and she wanted to return them. Our return policy on our receipt is, "We Accept Returns or Exchanges for Store Credit Only within 7 days with the original receipt, Items must be in original condition and Unworn with the tags attached. Because she was unhappy with our product and because her friend, our client had referred her, we thought that we would just give the full refund to her credit card. She then said that she really wanted a no wire bra but the one she purchased was smaller than what she wanted it to be. She asked if we had a no wire in a larger size she could try and we tried her on a larger size and she said it felt better and she wanted to purchase it.

Now it's almost 4 months later, starting from May to August, and she is now complaining about the bra. She did not call us or contact us in any way about not being happy with her new purchase. We don't know if she gained weight or what happen to make the bra not fit her anymore because she never contacted us. Again, it has been almost four (4) months, I don't see where there is an exchange or refund due at this point. There has been too much time gone by.

I have made several attempts to return Bra(s) in a timely manner.

May 22, 2013 through June 3, 2013, I have called 4 times (used my cell phone), and visited 4 to 6 times (check store surveillance camera). Per each visited I had my purchased bra(s) with me in the original condition, unworn with tags and receipt. Then the sales clerk stated, "that all bra(s) fit tight at first, but as you ware the bra(s) the bra(s) will loosen".

On May 28, 2013, I returned to the At Last...Bra & Lingerie to request a full refund for both bras, and they only were willing to refund me for one. The other bra was changed from a 42-G cup to 42-H cup. The bra was still much too tight: I was unable to turn around my breast line with tight fit. Again the sales clerk stated as before, "all bra(s) fit very tight at first, as you ware the bra it will loosen to fit you".

As of the present time I have not worn the bra. Because it was sold to me at a small size and too tight fit. I have not gained any weight, if anything I have lose weight.

However I have worn bras from other stores that did not fit tight.

To our knowledge, Ms. [redacted] has only come into At Last Bra and Lingerie twice. First to purchase the bras that she has and is complaining about and the second time was to return and re-purchase the bras that she has now.

My daughter and I are the only ones that work here in our boutique as there are no other employees. We know that Ms. [redacted] did not come into our boutique on the days that she said she had. Ms. [redacted] has not returned to our boutique for any returns other than the first time she came in to make the first return and re-purchase the larger size bra.

However, to keep in good standing with our customer service we are offering, even though it has been some time, to let her bring the merchandise back, in its original condition, unworn with tags still attached, to us and to give her store credit as stated in our return policy. Hopefully, this will settle this dispute once and for all.
