Hi this is [redacted] I am responding a letter they sent me a couple days ago [redacted] business name A.T.Muffler& mechanic I am not taking responsibility about that charge for the following reasons 1) they drove the car within miles (if it was a bad filter they wouldn't drive two miles they will drop all oil almost instantly 2)they took the car somewhere else instead to bring the car right away they took the car to a different shop 3) they went asking estimates to different places This seems suspicious 4)engine already turned the 200,miles which the engine was about to breakdown 5)they brought to me that car without the oil filter anything could be happened with that oil filter l don't know why they took off the oil filter if you have more questions please email it to me thanks [redacted] *** [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: [redacted] reasoning for why he will not take responsibility does not provide any logical evidence or strong, sound reasoningI paid his business to provide me a service of an oil changeDue to his mechanics error my car no longer works and his business put myself, my boyfriend, and friend in harm’s wayIn response to his four claims/reason: 1) Toyota stated that a bad or incorrect oil filter could have a decent seal, causing only a minor leak beginIt is possible for it to take a while for a leak to begin and to completely run out of oil If [redacted] is stating that a bad/incorrect oil filter would have destroyed my engine immediately, then he is stating that the incorrect oil filter his mechanic placed in my car will most definitely cause engine failure2) The first thing I did the moment we became stranded was to call ***’ business and leave a message When I did not hear back from them I called two times the next dayThey stated they would call me back and never didThey never did respond to my concerns or voice message I had no clue why my vehicle did not have oilA gentleman at the gas station said it could be a simple loose plug that would be cheap to fixNo intelligent person would have paid $500+ to tow a vehicle to a business that was not assisting a customer alreadyFor that reason, my car insurance towed my vehicle to the closest shopThis shop did not complete any workThey only stated and showed me that the incorrect oil filter was in, causing a leak and complete oil deprivation to the engine 3) ***’ business had my vehicle for over hours when they did their inspectionI asked for documentation, they denied me that documentation They stated they would not fix my vehicle and did not offer me an estimateFor that reason I towed my vehicle to Toyota, like any logical person would do to get a valid inspection and estimate4) A mechanic cannot state that mileage equates to vehicle breakdownToyota vehicles, specifically the Toyota Highlander Limited Edition, overwhelming dominates AutoOnInfo.net's Roster of Vehicles with 300,or More MilesTo say that it was going to break down because it reached 200,miles is not a valid or respectable statement, without evidence5) I brought the car and the oil filterI did not trust the business enough to keep the filter in the carAfter speaking with Toyota on the phone they stated to present the oil filter to them so they have no way of taking it out themselves and possibly destroying or switching filters As a customer it is my right and my property to keep possession of a purchase The only documentation they business provided me was a receipt that stated “oil change” with the priceThere were no details of what was down or what filter or oil was placed in my carThe Toyota dealership couldn’t believe how much they even charged for a simple oil change, especially when not stating specific work completed Regards, [redacted]
