I was serviced there on 2/13/2020. Food and service was great. Recieved the bill and paid in full. When I got the receipt, I looked to see how much i
I had available to tip. I didn't have sufficient funds to give a fair tip. I scribbled out the number on the tip line an assured our waitress that I Would return to tip her properly.

The next morning, I found out that my card was overcharged 20 dollars. I called to speak with the manager, but the same waitress claimed that they were not available. I described what happened and she told me that she would handle it.

On 02/17/2020, I went in to fet the refund. I had asked to see my original receipt in which I had signed. She claimed that she didnt have it and that she owned the restaurant. I asked why was there 20 dollars charged extra and she said "me service was excellent, I deserved 20 so I took it". I asked for her info and she declined to verify that sge owned the place. She told me that I was no longer welcome for asking for the unauthorized tip back.

Desired Outcome

Refund I have been given the 20 dollars back via electronic refund. I would want my entire $94.00 refund for the unauthorized use of my card, retaliation for demanding the money back, and the rudeness and if handling a customer complaint.

This is the first time we've heard from Revdex.com. We'd definitely like to explain our side of things. There was some confusion on if the customer wanted to leave a tip or not but when we tried to refund the tip then the customer wanted the entire check refunded. Of course we would refuse. The customer seemed to want to scam us out of the entire meal.
Can you recommend when this happen to us again?

This business assumes that it has done nothing wrong and then proceeds to justify their action by naming this complaint a scam. Unprofessional is the word I'd use to describe this response.

The principle of this problem is that no matter what the reason is for a customer to cross off the tip completely, the restaurant does not have the right to reinstate a tip that they find suitable for their service, let alone upcharge the tip from its original value.

And to retaliate the customer for confronting the owner about this by banning them from their restaurant is boarderline criminal at best.

I had no problem with the food or service durring the meal. It was the what happened after the meal that prompted me to demand a full refund of my meal. The fact that the owner ok'ed the addition to my bill without my consent in writting or otherwise does not sit well with me or any other average consumer.

My friends have heard about this situation and has agreed to never patron this restaurant again if this issue had not resolved fairly and swiftly. It would be in the best intrest of the restaurant so simply apologize for their error and to refund tgis customers his meal.
