On 9/23/the tech informed me that if the bike was still leaking it would have to be the primary coverThe tech never checked the cover before installing it back on the bike and told me that the primary covered would not be covered under my ESP On 10/24/I dropped the bike back off and told [redacted] (service member) that I had replaced the primary cover and put sealant around the cover where the oil was coming down from inside the motorcycle to make sure it was not the primary cover that was leakingI did strip the drain plug but it was not leaking from the aftermarket cover or gasketI did not put sealant around the drain plug to reduce oil leak because it was not leaking from the drain plug

[redacted] call me, [redacted] , and asked how to add oil to rear shocksThe rear shocks in question, we had taken off of his girlfriend’s Motorcycle and replaced them with lowering shocksI told [redacted] that there is no way to add oil to his shocks because they are a sealed unitHe then stated the box he kept them in was covered in oil and that it had to be from the shocksMy reply was that the oil can come out of the shock where the air fitting had been taken out of them to be used on his new shocks and that if he had stored them horizontally and not vertically that this is probably the case, and there is no way to replace the oil that was lostHe then asked if I could warranty the shocks and get him new ones, I said no because there was nothing wrong with them when they were on the bike and would have been nothing wrong with them had he stored them properlyThanks, [redacted] Owner/OperatorPowder Keg Harley-DavidsonKings Center CtMason, OH45040-2384*** [redacted] *** [redacted] *** [redacted]

On 9/10/15 Repair Order [redacted] The customer motorcycle came in for an oil leak, after diagnosing and repairing the motor cycle for the leak, the motorcycle left the shop on 9/23/15 it wasn’t leaking. The tech informed the customer that if it continues to leak then he would need to change the primary...

cover due to being warped. The customer asked if he could replace it himself. The tech told the customer that he could if wanted to.On 10/24/15 Repair Order [redacted] the customer returned for an oil leak again. The customer had replaced the primary cover with aftermarket parts, and aftermarket gaskets. In addition the customer had stripped out the drain plug, and used some kind of sealant all over the bottom of the primary cover around the drain plug area to reduce the amount leaking from the drain plug. The service consultant contacted ESP, and ESP covered to replace the primary cover and other parts needed to repair the customer’s motorcycle. With the bike being 13 years old and 42k miles, the tech put die in the oil so if it started leaking again we could see if it was something that we did or a leak from somewhere else, we test drove the motorcycle for 15 miles. No leaks were found before giving the customer his motorcycle back. The customer was informed that there was die in the oil just in case another leak was to pop up so we could diagnose where it was coming from. On 11/28/15 Customer called to inform us that his motorcycle was leaking again, and asked to speak with me the service manager. I called the customer to make arrangements with him to get his motorcycle in her so we can diagnose where the leak was coming from. The customer informed me that he would be taking his motorcycle to another Harley Davidson dealership to get his repairs done now. I let him know that was okay, and that if needed I would fax them any paperwork needed for them to reference. [redacted]Owner/OperatorPowder Keg Harley-Davidson2383 Kings Center CtMason, OH. 45040-2384[redacted]

[redacted] call me, [redacted], and asked how to add oil to rear shocks. The rear shocks in question, we had taken off of his girlfriend’s 2015 Motorcycle and replaced them with lowering shocks. I told [redacted] that there is no way to add oil to his shocks because they are a sealed...

unit. He then stated the box he kept them in was covered in oil and that it had to be from the shocks. My reply was that the oil can come out of the shock where the air fitting had been taken out of them to be used on his new shocks and that if he had stored them horizontally and not vertically that this is probably the case, and there is no way to replace the oil that was lost. He then asked if I could warranty the shocks and get him new ones, I said no because there was nothing wrong with them when they were on the bike and would have been nothing wrong with them had he stored them properly. Thanks,  [redacted]Owner/OperatorPowder Keg Harley-Davidson2383 Kings Center CtMason, OH. 45040-2384[redacted]
