I enrolled in the phlebotomy program in June 2015. I did the 5 week mini start taking 2 classes and got As and perfect attendance. One of my teachers was new, didn't know what she was doing, couldn't pronounce the words properly (in medical terminology) and always said that we were making more work for her. My second semester I took 3 classes. One of them was anatomy and physiology where the teacher gave us copies of the tests before they were administered. She called them study guides. I learned nothing in that class. Still I ended up with straight A's and perfect attendance. But I didn't make the presidents list because I only had 11 credit hours instead of 12. They don't let you choose which classes you take or when. My third semester is when things got bad. My teacher Mrs. C. insulted us. Saying things like "your hand writing looks like a kindergartner's. She played favorites and graded the people she didn't like harder. Mr. R. was the worst though. I had an A in his class until the midterm. He administered a midterm that more than half of the material on it he never taught nor assigned to us. Everyone did poorly. I mentioned that in class. He became angry and from that point on he bullied me, gave me failing grades that I didn't deserve and lied about me to administration. I left the school crying almost everyday. I was constantly in my program director's office and the office of the academic student affairs person. They did nothing. In fact, they blamed me. They even told me that I had to stay in that class. Nobody else teaches that class and I have to have that class to graduate. I told them that it was cruel to make me endure his abuse and repeatedly asked about different options. They refused to do anything. I ended up dropping the class. They even wrote me up and tried to make me sign something saying I had damaged school property. What? The only reason they did that was because I told them I had contacted my attorney and they were trying to put the blame on me. I ended up with As in the other 2 classes. I still have a 4.0. I am taking 3 classes right now and after this I have one semester left which is also when I'll be doing my externship. But... I'm going to have to withdraw after this semester and finish at another school because I can't graduate without health and safety techniques and I refuse to be abused by Mr. R. I'm not the only one who has had problems with the staff. The staff are very unprofessional.
