Knocking Upon Arrival
We arrived at the designated time on the first day and the
project manager thought the foreman had knocked on the front door and vise versa. None the less we were scheduled to be washing
the house at that time and that's what we were doing We
where then told by the gun carrying police
officer that they shoot first and ask questions later. A second time we were scheduled to be there
we knocked and no one answered so we started working as we always do on
exteriors. Twice we were told we were at
risk of being shot.
Nails and Razors in Yard
Between the first and second day we had paint cans, tools,
nails and razor blades on one side of the yard stacked out of the way. Anyone having this type project done - an
arbor built, fence put up, painting and carpentry being done should realize
this in a work area for a period and we had not cleared the area. There was also one additional screw that was
a sheet rock screw that we suspect fell out of a tool belt. We dragged the yard with magnets after that

Sometimes happens on this style home when prying out the
window trim. It was us that told and
showed the home owner that it happened.
The damaged planks (plus some) were replaced
This job should have been a one or two day job. We were not give reasonable access to do our
project. We were only allowed to work on
house around baby's nap times. Added
difficulties because of endless customer complaints like that their garden had
been totally destroyed but when I offer to come right over and look at it that
they had already cleaned it up. One of
the residents express some reservations about which of the two colors that should
go on the garage door so the Foreman painted half the garage door while
painting the casing, for a sample. This
caused no delays, no extra expense, no change in the quality of the finished
product. But it is still brought up in
every correspondence we have with the customer? And the at the end of the month project we
were told we did not deserve full payment and the customer gave us a payment
less the contract amount. The customer
has the estimate for the original amount.
That normally serves as the invoice.
No new invoice or receipt will be provided to show the reduced amount
the customer decided we were entitled to.
Resolutions purposed:
1. I can give a full
refund of what they paid and be free of any additional contact or liability or warranty
with this particular customer. Other than
what is probably small issue on the back of the house, they have a great
caulking and paint job and this is a generous offer
2. The customer can
give us a mutually agreed upon hour window to show up (arrival time only -
work my go beyond this window) and do the repairs. A solution to the problem and products used
will be per our professional judgment and original work order and customer
will allow us to do our job without interference. We must also not fear or be threatened to be
shot or harmed when we show up during our window of time
