Seeking repair
Have made several phone calls in an attempt to have someone come over to fix a roofing issue under warranty. No call no help.
Repair
I'm finishing a job up at the moment but I can get a crew out there next week to take care of the repair. I'll have Leighton call you to get it scheduled tomorrow.
Home at *** was totally reroffed on 10-23-14. I am not knowledgeable of roofing installation so I assumed roofing was correctly installed. The home is now for sale and was inspected by a licensed inspector. Report details several issues. Modified (roll roofing) wrinkled and nailed, not tarred correctly, matal flashing around fireplace not installed, seal wall flashing over porch, master bedroom not installed. Estimate from Weathersby Roofing for repairs attached. I have make numerous calls and left messages on every call requesting call back from owner, manager to discuss. Have recieved no call backs.
Repair, replace improperly installed roofing. Roof is uninsurable at this time. Repair to satisfy insurance standards.

We roofed the property and it was inspected by the city and passed *** The roof is not leaking and there is no issues with leaking. The customer decided to sale the property over 5 years later and a home inspector stated that there was some roof issues in which we explained to the customer that the roof had passed *** inspection and there was no leak issues and the roof is still on great working condition (no leaks). We provide a warranty against any leaks with our work and we stand by our warranty, the complaint is not for any leaks and the roof is in great working condition, therefore we do not owe to replace the roof.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
In response to A Tex Roofing's claim that they have no responsibility for the poor & improper installation of the roof at 9135 Westlake Rd.
When I hired A Tex Roofing in October of 2014 , I did so with the understanding that they were a professional company, bonded with the city of Abilene. I was told and charged for, a city permit with inspections. Recently when the home went under contract, a licensed home inspector noted the following problems with the roof, all of which are related to improper installation. After multiple attempts to get A Tex Roofing to warrant their poor workmanship, I had Weathersby Roofing & Hartman Roofing inspect the roof. Not only did they both find installation problems as noted by the Home Inspector but they both agreed that the roll roofing was poorly installed with wrinkles and that hundreds of nails were used in a product that should have NO NAILS in it at all.
My next step was to contact the city to see why the inspector did not address these flaws in the installation. That is when I found out no City permit had been allied for and so of course no City inspection had been done. In my opinion, A Tex owes a refund for the roof that was improperly installed and misrepresented to me.
None of these issues have anything to do with the age or wear & tear of the roof. They are all in regards to poor workmanship and improper installation.

Mr. stated that he didn't realize the complaint was reopened and stated that he has no issues trying to fix the areas of the roof that are in question. Mr. will reach out to Mr. today to talk with him to see what can be done to fix his roof.
5/13/2019 JR consumer called to say they had no contact re: last firm response going to court and will let us know disposition once closed by judge.
