I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
I have received your response and see that they are contradictory even in their response to your officeAs I do not agree with all that was written in their letterMany statements in that letter are not trueFor instance, They are requiring that I conform to their Policy? Then I should have paid for food with hair in it??and did not want to pay hence they call they Police (par line 5&6)As I first mentioned, I told them that I have all the time to wait for a manager, even to talk to one by phone and that I will not pay for that meal until that happenOr replace the half of my meal that was remaining. Instead of doing so, they call the policeI told them either they call the police or get a hold of the manager or person in charge because I should not have to pay for a meal that I did not complete and it had hair in itThey have their policy, and I know my rightSecondly, 3rd paragraph line "there was nothing unusual that we saw"!!! How could this be nothing unusual unless Hair in Someone's Plate is a regular phenomena for them? Now, what kind of service is that where a customer is being forced to pay for a meal with hair in itThat is my pointThirdly, the 4th paragraph - 1st line, "the next day we had the health deptvisit"It wasn't the next day, because I did not contact the health dept or contacted anyone outside of them until days after the incident and been calling the restaurant every day since without getting a manager! No one call me even after leaving my name and number! I did not contact the health department until days laterAlso, didn't contact the news channel or Revdex.com until almost a week laterIt wasn't until the news channel contact them that I got a so call apology from an unknown person by emailI was informed in the email by a manager they will be reprimanding the cook that took the meal off my billI did not want to leave without payingEven when I was asked to leave and not pay anything at the end after I let my rights be knownI insist and payed for the meal that my guest ate, which is the meal that did't have hair in itThe health department did not visit there the next day or even that same week. Them insisting for me to pay for a meal that I didn't complete with hair in it and wait until they view "footage" is not only disrespectful and humiliatingThis is also poor customer service and management service was displayedI hope no other customer ever have to go through what happen hereThey mentioned that the incident did not have to escalate this far?It did because they call the police on me and my guest in the restaurant without our knowledge while waiting to see a manager or talk with oneHow embarrassing and humiliating is that? I am really over this incident and I have move on from this situation knowing that I have exercised my rights as a customer. Moving forward I will never set foot in that establishment again and will inform whoever is close to me of their Terrible Customer Service and Unhygienic Practices! I am writing in response to the complaint by *** ***We have a house policy for voiding foodIt is only to be authorized by a managerThere are times when a manager is not on premises, in that case the policy for our staff is to inform the customer that no manager is on duty and if there is
an issue that the customers information will be taken down and a manager will get back to them at the earliest convenience to resolve the matter; be it refunding the customer or whatever is appropriateWe just ask that the customer pay their bill until the manager can contact themI believe as a private business we have a right to have our own policies in place such as this oneWe never would expect a customer to pay for food with a hair in it or any sub service quality itemThat issue with*** *** was that no one was available to take care of the matter, so our staff followed policy and asked her to pay her bill, took down her information and let her know a manager would contact her*** *** refused to pay for her full check and after numerous attempts the staff called the police because that is the next step if a customer refuses to pay for servicesOne of the managers would have gladly contacted her and refunded her and most likely given her a gift card for a future meal as well after reviewing the videos, which we do for any incidentWe like to review the staff making the food, serving it, and the customer's table as wellWe have seen inappropriate actions in all areas so we prefer to resolve the issue where it is found, there was nothing unusual that happened that we sawBut after much commotion one of the cooks asked her to leave and told the hostess to not have her pay for her meal at that timeThe next day we had the health deptvisit, they gave us a clean report, and one of the news stations contacted us with her email and we responded to her in email, and we received a letter from Revdex.com as wellThe incident did not have to escalate this farHad she understood that we have to have policies in place and the intention was not to have her pay for her food with a hair in it, just to understand that we would have resolved the matter accordingly, we were unhappy to hear that she took the matter in such an uncomplimentary insulting way; that was not our intentionThank you, Sue P., Manager
