This letter is in response to the compensation claim made by guests, *** * *** and *** *** ***, who stayed briefly in our motel. She checked in room *** on 4th december and stayed til sixthShe wanted a room with kitchen, so we told her that we did have a room but the
room right next door had roaches problem and even though we were treating the room in regular period of time with our pest control company, they still wanted to take that roomAfter checking in room ***, they complained about roaches and we treated the roomWe also gave them one day of free stay for the inconvinience incurredThey wanted to stay one more week, so we moved them to a different room ***, and after a day, they complained about roaches again. We realized that this was not a genuine complain because we didn't have any such issues in room *** in past, so we told them they can get their full money back after they had stayed one and half day for freeAt first they said they were gonna check out but they didn't come to the office to check out and the next day, we called them again, they saidwe don't want to check out, give us half of their rent backIt had already been two days in new room so we declined but offered to pay her dollars and the could check outBut, they said they don't want to check out but rather they took dollars and wanted to move to a different room We changed them to *** after two days and they complained again. And they wanted half of their rent back, so finally, we gave them dollars again (in total $altogether).We knew that there were no such issues in that room, so just to verify, we checked that room after they checked outWe didn't find a single roach in that roomWe knew that to be the case but we settled with their demand because we were tired of moving them to new rooms all the time. Two days after the settlement, they came back again and wanted to rent the room but denied because the room was messy after they checked outGarbage was on floor everywhereI'm sending you a copy of settlement agreement with her signature.
