Review: We tried to reserve a vacation home on line, we did not hear from the owner within 24 hrs. & the reservation was cancelled & our credit card was charged $138.08. When we called to complain we were told that that is how their system works & we could do nothing, the cancellation fee was our responsibility. Before I could call my credit card co. 2 more charges appeared, 1 for $1775.25 & a 2nd for $89. When I called the co. & threatened to report them to the Revdex.com & my attorney they said they were sorry for the mix up & gave me 3 "codes" to cancel the pending charges on my credit card. The codes were: [redacted] & [redacted]. When I called my credit card co. they said there were no such codes & the charges would go through! I spoke with [redacted] & [redacted] at Home Away.com. They out & out lied to me. When I tried to call back it was over a 20 minute wait & I had already spent about 30 minutes in the 1st go round. This is a shady co. I will dispute the charges when they appear on my credit statement but why should I have to go through the hassle? This company should have just given me a credit. But beyond that the numbers didn't match up to the agreed price of the rental anyhow. I will appreciate anything you can do to help resolve this situation.Desired Settlement: They can credit my credit card, I would not trust any check they would send!
