prices for all items as this is what the bank required. I made numbers work and we agreed on the job. Extra items he wanted were put on additional invoice. As I started the job  I found out things would not be smooth as the words under budget started. I knew I was in trouble when the customer started sending me to[redacted] and [redacted] to get cabinets and other products. I spent 3 hours in H.D. to get cabinets ordered. I worked the budget to get the customer in loan approval and now it was thrown back in my face. I became uncomfortable with customer's girl friend whom now was calling the shots. My actions became unprofessional and I did not handle the situation well. I apologize for my actions. I have not had problems like this with my other customers as most of my work is referrals for other customers and the Adkins job was a referral. I will learn from this and be a better and smarter contractor in the future. Thank you [redacted]

Review: We have a contract with the company to do some home renovation work on a home we purchased, We received his bid and everything was fine until he started work on the house. Almost immediately he wanted to not do items we had worked in to estimate. Things that we had to do because of the type of renovation loan we had which he told us he had done before and had no problem working with. The home inspector had showed us rotten boards that had to be replaced on the decking, ledger and band boards the contractor had this in his estimate to do but told us they didn't need to be done had to point it out to him by sticking a screw driver in rotten area for him to find the next day. He did fix it after this. He started the job on June 20th it was supposed to be a 6 week renovation but it is now Oct 8 and it is still not completed satisfactorily. The quality of the workmanship is extremely poor, there are so many things we have pointed out to him multiple times that were not right and it is like he just don't care about fixing them. It took over 6 weeks just to do the siding on the house because he kept leaving to go do other jobs which he always told us he had to do because those jobs were paying his bills ours wasn't. He got the 35% draw up front from the bank for material said it wasn't enough he needed more we went back to the bank got him the 15% more(which is all we could get until completion) and he still constantly complained because he didn't have the $. He knew this was a 203k loan and how it worked before he ever signed a contract with bank to do the job. He put new wood floors in and we have boards with nails sticking through them and some that are cracked. He did fix the nail that was coming through after we pointed it out along with a lot of other items that were wrong, the trim job on the siding is terrible we have shown him problems with it 3/4 times and it's still not right, he took down our flood lights outside (which worked fine) and broke them so he threw them away and did not replace them. He ordered counter tops and bar top but ordered the wrong bar, took another month to get a new one in and it was still wrong (not radius cut) he says that it wasn't possible to do that but it is We have checked on it and he just placed the order wrong both times We were under budget on every item we purchased some items by more than $1000 we wanted to use this extra $ from where we saved to purchase additional items he didn't want us to do that he says the extra $ was his to go to pay his expenses. I'm sorry but If I have $1000 to purchase a vanity and your charging $600 to install the vanity and the vanity I choose is $700 that extra $300 savings does not go to you your paid $600 to install the vanity regardless of it's cost, this is just one of the many items there was a conflict on. We tried to sit down and discuss this with him but when asking him for some of the costs of items he said he didn't have it he didn't know. He could never show us receipts when asked said he didn't keep them. But honestly the final straw was today. That's whats got me writing this complaint. He showed up to install the 2nd bar top , when they brought it in I noticed it was cut wrong and not cut at a radius, when I told him this he threw down his wallet he had on the table, stepped toward me and screamed "Listen [redacted] I'm sorry that is completely unacceptable! He said he was tired of my complaining I told him if he could actually do something correctly I wouldn't complain. But I'm sorry that is no way for a licensed contractor to act. He has been rude and disrespectful on several occasions, but stepping toward me threateningly and saying that to me in my own home is too much! yes he did apologize after that but I told him it was unacceptable. If there was a issue he needed to communicate it with us, he said the manufacturer called him told him it wasn't radius cut. he needs to learn to then call the homeowners let them make the decisions on how they want to proceed not just assume we will settle for how he wants it. I have dozens of pictures of the issues we have so you can see I'm not just being picky but it is a true quality of workmanship issue as well as a problem with his unprofessional attitude. The workers he had working for him were never a problem they were all always very polite to us it was just the owner [redacted] that we had a problem with. I believe he has issues with the fact I'm a female and because of our work schedules I was the one usually at the house while they were working. Will work's 7am-7pm most days so I had to deal with any of the issues because I was available. He made it clear he did not like having to deal with me he even told me this. I just want it to be on file the problems we have had because I'm sure we are not the only customers that have had to deal with this and I sincerely hope no one else has to go through what this contractor has put us through!Desired Settlement: We just want to be sure a complaint has been filed and someone knows about the contractors totally inappropriate and unprofessional behavior, as well as his questionable ethics in trying to squeeze homeowners out of $ he is not entitled too.
