In response to this complaint we have tried to come to a resolution directly with the customer Our used warranty has never included the ice and water mechanism but in this case the customer asked ahead of time if it worked and the in house repair technician said that it did So when the
customer called and said there was an issue with it we sent out a tech for no charge and found that an expensive part was needed We offered the customer $off to keep or to pick out a different fridge with a full credit of what he had already paid He didn't like any of the other fridges We have ordered the part needed and have tried a couple of times to schedule a repair to which he is now refusing saying he would like a full refund and his stairs fully repaired.In response to the claim on the stairsthe home owner and author of the complaint was not present at the time of the delivery and the tenant that lives there is totally blind Our delivery drivers came back shortly after the delivery and gave me the story of what happened and they both said that the stairs were in such bad shape that when they were carrying the fridge that one of the guys' foot went through a stair The home owner was then calledhe came over to see what happenedapologized and even tipped the guys for the hard work one WEEK later he is asking for our insurance so he can make a claim against our insurance to get his stairs repaired We can not be responsible for previously unfit property and be expected to cover damage that should not happen under circumstances In summation we are doing what he asked which is to repair the refrigerator that he originally purchased but have denied liability for any damage done to the property that could've happened to literally anyone We still have the part and are willing to repair said fridge
