Atlantic Builders, LTD.

Did they finally resolve your hardwood flooring issues, the landscaping/sod issues and the driveway issues? I have a client thinking of building with them and these issues give them pause. Similar reviews on yelp from others. I do not have any experience with this builder just asking a question. Forced to give stars to submit question.

Review: When my wife and I purchased the house in July 2014 Atlantic Builders permitted the sod areas of the lawn to die and a majority of the areas to be seeded were not growing grass. The second floor in the master bedroom squeezed like an old barn. For over a year Atlantic Builders has made 6 attempts to fix the floor and 4 attempts to grow grass, refusing to replace the sod that is guaranteed in the contract.

The standards that Atlantic Builders has are questionable. For example the paved driveway has weeds growing in the drive. I have also complained that the ruts to the lawn from construction trucks were not repaired prior to the re-seedings. I had to spend my money and wasted my time to repair these water and construction truck areas to prevent further damage to my lawn tractor.

To date I have been told that in the spring another re-seeding will take place; however, as with the past attempts, I have no guarantee that the job will be performed correctly or that Atlantic Builders will finally send a supervisor to ensure that the job is performed correctly. If their sub-contractors cannot grow grass, Atlantic Builders have bigger problems. I am scheduling a seventh time for the Atlantic Builders to repair the second floor; hopefully, they will not continue to damage the carpet in the master bedroom. They have not even addressed the poor driveway condition. Business standards requires at least a 2 inch base, I have less than 3/8 of an inch. Poor management and customer care from Atlantic Builders, from the President down should be made known to other home buyers that this company poorly treats its customers with distain.

This situation has lasted long enough! Any person thinking of purchasing a home from Atlantic Builders NEEDS TO HIRE A THIRD PARTY INSPECTOR. The attitude of the President is now that they are going out of their way to resolve at least these problems that they have failed to fix.Desired Settlement: My desired outcome is to receive what I paid for. I paid for sod, grass, a properly constructed home and a driveway built by business standards.
