Dear *** ***, My name is *** ***, I am the service manager here at Atlantic Chrysler. I reached out to *** *** regarding his repairs done here at the dealership. I did notice a mistake on our end with a part that should not
have been billed to him. We have our accounting department processing a check in the amount of $35.90. This was a seal that should have been paid for under a parts warranty claim. I called *** *** and apologized for the inconvenience and I asked him for an address to mail him the check. I also reached out to the dealership in Salt Lake, UT that did his repairs once he arrived there. I spoke to the service manager and he was not willing to extend any warranty or goodwill to the customer. unfortunately, because the vehicle was not returned to this dealership and we could not inspect it, we will not be able to extend any goodwill or additional warranty to *** ***. Thank you,*** ***Service Manager Atlantic Chrysler Jeep Volkswagen***

Review: On my way from Maine to Utah, I stopped in NJ and noticed I had some rear differential fluid leaking out of my jeep, I had just had the rear pinion seal replaced in Maine at a Chrysler dealer. I brought the jeep to Atlantic Chrysler to get the leak repaired. After leaving it there for a couple days, they ended up replacing the:

-Rear pinion seal

-Input and output seal on the transmission

-Input and output seal on the transfer case

-Differential cover seal

It ended up costing $793.21

The day after I got my jeep back I left for Utah. After a few hours of driving I stopped to get gas and noticed that there was fluid leaking out of my rear differential and my transfer case and transmission. I was very disappointed since I just paid $793.21 to fix the leaks. for the rest of the 2200mile trip I had to stop at rest stops and replace the fluid that was leaking out, so my car wouldn't be damaged.

Upon arrival to Salt Lake City, Utah I called Atlantic Chrysler to ask if they would cover the cost of repairs, and they said they would cover it, but I would have to take it to a Chrysler dealer to check what was wrong.

Salt Lake Valley Chrysler said that the rear pinion seal was not the problem as Atlantic Chrysler had thought, it was a blocked vent hose, and they said the seals that had just been replaced at Atlantic Chrysler were leaking. Salt lake Chrysler ended up replacing:

-Rear axle vent

-Input and output seal on transmission

-input and output seal on transfer case

After calling Atlantic Chrysler multiple times I got in contact with a service advisor, and he said he would have to contact the other Chrysler dealer to confirm the repairs and he would call me back, but he never did. I have called back many times and have left messages, but have been unable to get a response. It seems that most if not all the work they did was faulty or unnecessary. I also sent an email, but received no response.Desired Settlement: Since the work I received on my car was faulty and it may have caused damage to my car and caused me major inconvenience I would like a full refund of $793.21

Review: I leased a [redacted] December 17, 2014 and was told by the sales [redacted] the sales person the my current lease at the time which was a [redacted] was to be left with them and they turn it back in to [redacted] and cover the distribution fee to [redacted] Six months later I receive a bill in the mail from [redacted] that my lease was never returned to them. I immediately return to the [redacted] dealer ship and show them the letter stating that they never received the [redacted] back. They then told me that my old [redacted] lease was still on their lot for the past 6 months and never returned to [redacted]. [redacted] the sales manager apologized and said that it will be returned ASAP. I told him that I would follow them to [redacted] to assure that it was delivered and at that time I signed papers to [redacted] that the car was returned. In the mean time [redacted] the sales manager at Atlantic Chrysler told me the the balance do to [redacted] would be paid by Atlantic Chrysler. 4 months later I received another letter in the mail from [redacted] stating that the balance was still not paid, I returned to Atlantic Chrysler again with the letter and the bill and [redacted] the manager told me again that he is sorry, and he would make sure it would be taken care of. So no another 4 months go by and here I am tonight, I received a call from a collection company for [redacted] stating that still the bill is not paid. With [redacted] on the line I called to atlantic chrysler to speak to [redacted] the sales manager and he very rudly told me that he could do nothing and he did not know what the problem was and hung up on me. I them get in the car at 8:00pm and drive over to the atlantic chrysler dealership to confront [redacted] the sales manager. He acts as if he did not even know who I was and why I was there. He started to yell and scream that this is not his dealership and that he did not care and to leave. I became very angry and told him that he was a lair. Finally other managers came over to try and help me. [redacted] the sales manager should be firedDesired Settlement: I want the billed from [redacted] to be paid in full by Atlantic Jeep Chrysler like I was told It would be from [redacted] the Manager. And an apology from him for not following through with making sure that it was all done with in the beginning as it should have been 1 year ago.

Review: I went into this dealership on 1/7/15 asking for assistance to purchase a vehicle. I called the night that I bought the vehicle to tell the finance person that I was uncomfortable with the contract. He told me that he would call me by Friday and he never did. I drove to the dealership on 1/8/15 to discuss cancelling the contract and they were rude and dismissed me. I experienced so much dishonesty that I was sick for several days after my interaction with this dealership. I went there to trade in a vehicle in which they did not trade in. They promised to assist me with this vehicle and never did. At the time of the signing of the contract, the finance person did not go over the info with me and when I asked to explain what was before me he gave excuses as to how he had a long day. He told me that as a courtesy of purchasing the vehicle that I would get an extended warranty but would have to come to Atlantic Chrysler to get the work done. I later recognized that I was paying $2500 for this warranty. I kept calling the dealership trying to get them to keep their word regarding my previous vehicle and spoke to [redacted] on 1/14/15 asking for a refund for the $2500. He told me to call him back the next day and that he would have info for me and would have taken care of the agreement regarding the car I brought to them that never was traded. I called to speak to [redacted] the next day and he gave me more excuses and said that he had spoken to [redacted] (who handles warranty refunds) and that she would take care of it. I visited the dealership on 1/17/15 and met with supervisors by the name of [redacted] and [redacted] and found out that they never kept their agreement about the car and something about a fee that would be taken out of me refund. I really need help because these guys totally took advantage of me. I told them that I was a single parent and what my limits were. I really need to make sure that I get my refund. I cannot believe that a business is allowed to do this to a customer.Desired Settlement: I would like reimbursement for the $2500.00 for an extended warranty that I was told was a courtesy to me.

Review: I was charged $124.12 diagnostic fee for Atlantic Auto Group to look at my check engine light and they said they found the following was wrong:

1) a/c pressure switch - which he said might be just a glitch and there was no way to check to see if it was for real or not because of how cold it is outside. he said it needed to be 50 degrees. ($225)

2) MAP sensor malfunction. and he said its an updated sensor so it would have to be re-wired ($525)

3) Purge Valve Tubing is cracked ($170)

I went to another auto dealer which did not charge me to check the engine light and they told me there was a faulty sensor which was NONE of the above stated.

I complained to Atlantic and let them know of this situation and how dissatisfied I was. They told me they would refund the diagnostic fee which I was charged. That was on [redacted]/14. I sent an email on [redacted] asking when I could expect my refund as I have been watching my credit account and have not seen a refund. I received no reply to this email and am left without a refund.Desired Settlement: I would like the refund to be processed on my credit card which I was charged $124.12
