They were hired to replace 3 windows in July. Two are in our living room, one is in our master bathroom. The "best window guy" they have did not use exterior, expandable caulk or exterior paint on the trim. Within 2 weeks the caulk contracted and created holes around the frame. The paint washed off after the first rain. The work was inspected by ***,the owner, who approved the work when the install was completed. Mr *** sent a different employee, ***, to fix the windows.

The weep holes on the bathroom window were caulked over / filled in. When it rained the water back flowed into the wall and eventually directly into our master bathroom. *** sent ***, the same person who caused the damage, back to our house on Aug 21, 2020. *** said he could kick a hole in the wall and prove there was mold growing inside the wall around the window. He then walked out and slammed the door.

I emailed *** about this encounter and he agreed to pay for mold testing, remediation, and repairs.

After not hearing from *** after the mold remediation I emailed him regarding payment for the repair to the wall. On 9/8/2020, we agreed that Mr *** would pay $700 by check by the following Friday, 9/11/2020. I contacted him on 9/11/2020 and he asked for the mailing address. 9/16/2020 he emailed me a picture of the check dated 9/15/2020. As of 9/18/2020, the check has not arrived. I emailed Mr *** today, 9/18/2020, and stated that the check needed to be here by 5:00 PM. He stated that he mailed the check today but has stopped communicating with me when I asked him to prove it by way of a receipt. Mr *** lives locally so it was perfectly feasible for him to bring the check to our home at any time and have this matter resolved.
