The doctor refused to give me a "PD" with my prescription. I need the PD to order glasses online.I had an eye exam and received a prescription. I went online to look at glasses since they are much more affordable. It said I need the "PD" Pupiilary distance along with my prescription. I went back to the optometrist to get this information and they refused to give it to me. I said why not? They just said they wouldn't give me that information. Desired SettlementAll I want is the information I asked for after all it is my information.Business Response In response to the complaint that was filed; Our office is not obligated to give out PD measurements to patients. Reason: WE WILL NOT BE HELD LIABLE FOR ANOTHER DISPENSARY'S WORK. The patient was told that our practice did not give out the measurements for that reason. When the consumer decides to order eyewear online, there is a tool that the consumer is to print off in order to do THEIR OWN MEASUREMENTS. We hope this clears up any confusion that this situation may have caused. If the patient is dissatisfied with the results and/or services rendered at our practice; We will be more than happy to forward their medical record to any optometrist that they choose. However, the negative comments that the patient blurted out in our office in front of other patients was totally unacceptable.
