On March 26, 2015, Mr [redacted] purchased a black bedroom set from our company The bedroom set was displayed on our showroom floor in a brown cherry finish, which we stock It is also available from the vendor as a special order in a black finish Mr [redacted] opted to purchase the black finish, which he was told was a special order and would take approximately 2-weeks to arrive from the vendor On the sales receipt (see attachment), it clearly states in two areas that 'Special Orders cannot be cancelled or changed, or the full deposit will be forfeited' This sales receipt was signed by Mr [redacted] Also each line item for each piece of furniture on the sales receipt that Mr [redacted] purchased states that the item is a 'Special Order, No cancellation or you will lose your full deposit'.Several days later, Mr [redacted] telephoned our company to inform us that he wanted to change the color of the set We contacted the vendor, but the items were already in production, and no changes could be made The complete bedroom set that Mr [redacted] purchased arrived at our warehouse facility on April 6, 2015, just days after his purchase, and much sooner than the 2-weeks that he was originally quoted Mr [redacted] was notified by telephone to the arrival.We believe that customer service and satisfaction is a very important part of our company, and have offered to have Mr [redacted] re-select his purchase for another color bedroom set.?
