Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I am a parent willing to pay for my child to have a education and a successful future, which is why she enrolled in Brightwood College (Kaplan College)My concerns is there is a problem with their teaching methods and staffing. Clearly with teachers and students leaving in the short amount of time my daughter was enrolled says a lot as I mentioned in my original complaint. How are students expected to succeed when the teacher refuses to repeat themselves or provide study material. I have attempted unsuccessfully to resolve the billing concerns since August when she withdrew from the school. I never received a response until I filed complaint with Revdex.com. I have requested an itemized bill of charges and have been advised they can't provide that information. However, they expect a payment in the amount of $8,464.46 for 4 months of school. That amount is after an adjustment for the double billing $3,644.54 they agreed to adjust. In the meantime, while I have been attempting to have the billing issue resolved, they have sent $4,045 to collections. These numbers appear elevated. At this time, I would like what I originally requested which is: a itemized bill of class charges and the bill withdrawn from collections without any negative impact on her credit report. I have never been provided an opportunity to resolve this billing issue until now. Also, I would appreciate the adjustment offered $3,644.54 to be applied to the outstanding collections bill after removing from collections. In conclusion, I would like to respond to [redacted] comment that their employers and extern sites are pleased with their graduates that sounds good. However, On June 17, 2014 Florida Attorney General announced that her office entered into as Assurance of Voluntary Compliance (AVC) with Kaplan Higher Education, Kaplan Higher Education Campuses, and Kaplan University. The agreement follows the office's investigation, with which Kaplan cooperated, into the school's enrollment and marketing practices and allegations that students were misled by marketing claims. Under the agreement, the school must clearly and conspicuously disclose true and accurate information relating to the school's accreditation, program costs  financial aid and the scope and nature of employment services they provide. During the course of the investigation, Kaplan voluntarily waived tuition and fees. It is also disturbing to know that the ACICS Accreditation Agency Brightwood is accredited through has lost their standing with the Federal Government.Maybe it's time for California to have an investigation.

[redacted] and [redacted] from Kaplan College spoke with Ms. [redacted] on 6/3/15 regarding
her Revdex.com complaint #[redacted].
 Ms. [redacted] confirmed that
Kaplan would be covering the additional $60 testing fee that resulted because
the campus switched...

providers between [redacted]'s original testing date that she
did not show for and the rescheduled date.
 Ms. [redacted] confirmed the
upcoming test date on June 26th at 7:30 am and the mandatory practice date on
June 25 from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm with [redacted] on the phone and followed up with
the information in writing. [redacted] confirmed receipt of the
information.
At this point the matter is
resolved.

Campus President [redacted] spoke with the student’s mother about her allegation that we did not provide a service as promised for her daughter.  He let her know that their faculty, program director, and Dean all made an extra effort to help her daughter.  He went as far as reading the multiple notes and provided dates of all of our efforts and her daughter’s poor attendance and lack of effort.  They also discussed that also pointed out that their employers and extern sites are very pleased with their graduates.   President [redacted] then offered up a meeting with the Dean, Program Director, and myself to help her daughter get back on track and complete the program.  Unfortunately Ms. [redacted] is demanding only monetary compensation for her adult daughter which is considered unwarranted.  The institution acted in accordance with their policies and procedures and within federal guidelines.

Dear Sir or Madam:
This response is regarding a complaint filed by Mr. [redacted] for Kaplan College - Vista, CA.
On September 8 2014, Kaplan College Campus President [redacted] spoke with Mr. [redacted] regarding his complaint.
 Mr. [redacted] explained that he...

had not heard back from the State regarding his test
date and was therefore unable to take the test. At this time Ms. [redacted] provided him with
two email addresses for contacts at the State so that he could follow up with
the X-Ray board regarding his application.
X-Ray Program Director Patrick [redacted] followed up with Mr. [redacted] on September 17, 2014 to ensure that he had heard back from the State.  Mr. [redacted] confirmed that he received new application papers in the mail that he would be completing and submitting shortly.  Mr. [redacted] confirmed that Kaplan College would pay for the $100
testing fee per its policy for all first-time test taking graduates.  Additionally, Mr.
[redacted] encouraged Mr. [redacted] to attend the refresher courses at the College offered to all graduates
before taking the test, and Mr. [redacted] agreed that he would attend.
At this point the matter is resolved and we request that the Revdex.com close the matter.
Thank you,
[redacted]
Campus President
