Atlantic Relocation Systems Reviews (46)

In mid-august I signed with Marlene of Mid Atlantic, an Allied agency, to move from FL to NMContrach listed the load date as Aug Unload range was 9/to 9/My house closing was scheduled for Aug and the walk through the 30th On Aug at 7am, I called Atlantic dispatch to see what time they were comingThe dispatcher said he had no record of our move in his systemCalled Marlene- she discovered that while she did email the contract and the contact was "in the system", no one entered it into the Dispatch system (why not have a shared database?) So, they scrambled to get a packing team to box up pictures, glass and mattresses that afternoonThe packers arrived with no mattress boxes Next day, Aug 31, one day later, they arrived to load the truckHowever, they again had no mattress boxes and dragged a $king mattress down the hall to the front doorAll three mattresses and box springs were loaded with no protective boxesThey also broke off three landscape lights We arrived in NM on the 4thOn Wednesday, I called Dawn at Atlantic to tell her that the streets were pretty tight for a long semiShe said she would have the supervisor look at itI was told that the unload dates was the 9th On the 8th, I called Dawn and she reconfirmed that the 9th was the unload date At am on the 9th, I called Dawn- the lines were not operating in FLI finally found a working Atlas phone in IndianaThe person there said our truck was broken down in Texas and was expected to be in NM on the 18thI told him that was unacceptableHe said it was a moving business, not AmazonI told him I had moved times from CA to FL to NM and had NEVER had such a mess After a few expletives from me, he said- whoops, the truck was delivering a split load in TX and "planned" to be in NM on the 12thI said that was past the contracted due date but he said his screen said the 12th was the last date of the delivery range- again how hard is it to connect databases or was someone lying? I then asked him about the tight streets potential I told Dawn about- he said there was no mention of that in my file and that I would have to pay for that as an extra if they needed a transfer truck I said what if I refused and he said that I would never get my furniture unless I agreed to pay for the transfer truckI should have never mentioned the street and watch them have to helicopter lift the semi back out At that point I asked for his supervisor, who was "not available"I asked him to call within two hoursNever happened

Imported Italian travertine game table broken in move On July 3, Atlantic Relocation moved me from Clearwater Florida to Winter Park FloridaIn the move an imported Italian travertine game table was broken because of improper loading on the truck, which was acknowledged on the day of the move per phone by Gary Hof Atlantic RelocationWhen I talked to Gary on the day of the move that the table was broken his response was "he may have just moved me for free"Prior to the move no one from Atlantic Relocation came to inspect what was being moved, everything was done by phone I had separate locations that they picked up from A storage center in Oldsmar, a storage center in Largo, and a condo in ClearwaterAt no time prior to my pick ups and move was what was being moved ever discussedNor was insurance on my possessions(which I wasn't offered and didn't realize existed) This is only the 2nd time in my life I had professional movers move me, the first time was handled by

First we give out boxes all the time to our COD customers that pack themselves and no one is threaten to lose their job because of that ? The pick up date was moved since the driver Atlas had assigned to pick up the order could not make the run so we were pro active and made arrangements for Sunday the 31st to pick up the order this is first we heard of the blood on a wallI know [redacted] with Atlas customer service has spoken with customer and tried to offer assistance and it was refused or turned downThe items are not damaged and our warehouse is protected by [redacted] and camera's with a full staff of operations employee's so it not unprotected and unsupervisedthe order is now scheduled to be delivered on Sunday August 21stand the Customer was made aware of this as well

Some of my furniture arrived 07/18/Most damagedThe rest has been missing since that dateIt is STILL in *** After Atlantic found my furniture it was to be in NV in a weekThen their trucks were filledThey had no driversIt will be on the next truck"You know we are busy,we will call you." "What do you want us to do?" I have paid Atlantic $10,alreadyI would like the remainder of my furniture so I can then send Atlantic their proper paper work for the destroyed, damaged or still missing itemsI would like my move to be over and done with Atlantic for good

Move was poorly executedPromises were made then not kept after atlantic relocation packed up my possessions Items now missing or broken Atlantic relocation is a horribly run companyI would recommend staying far away from this company and atlas van lines in generalThe way thier team handled my recent move made our moving experience alot more difficult than necessaryLess than hours before my scheduled delivery date I was called and told they decided to move all of my possessions onto another truck and they would be delivering two days after the date I was toldThis included moving my boat that was on the truck and was put on the truck using an other flatbed truck( big process, lots of paper work signed saying I saw boat loaded ok)I was promised by the estimator, driver, and Packers that my truck and boat would not be repackedI got a call from Gary H [redacted] , the GM for atlantic relocation and was told that another delivery was added in order to make more money***

After several conversations with Mr [redacted] regarding the access issues and what the proposal stated regarding access to the residence at destination it was apparent that a size moving van up to a fifty-three foot truck which is common for deliveries could not be utilizedPer the proposal, the charges included delivery provided access to the residence was availableUnfortunatley we were not advised at the time of the proposal being given that the road was narrow and not easily accessibleOur overseas agent confirmed that the residence would not be easily accessible upon the arrival of the shipment overseasWe did discuss this in great lengths with Mr [redacted] and did advise him that he would be responsible for the shuttle chargeUpon the day of delivery Mr [redacted] chose to arrange a van of his own to save the shuttle chargesAt this point the matter has been resolved

They were suppose to pick up our boxes after we finished unpackingSaid they would be there between 8-then it was lunchtime and then it was between 1-and then they didn't show up until nearly

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2015/07/04) */
This was an interstate move from *** to *** and *** *** *** performed the servicesWe have a claims department that can and will handle the customers claim, however, the customer stopped payment on her check and has not paid for
her relocation services and we can not proceed without payment for the services rendered
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 8, 2015/07/09) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
they appear to think they are owed money for a job horribly doneI don't pay for poor service
I have asked for a settlement amounting to the price paid for the moveat least a dozen items were damaged or completely brokenI have never ever seen this with a moving company
job not done and definately not well done
this will only be settled when they stop expecting me to pay for their poor service
Final Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2015/07/13) */

Atlantic Relocation Systems handled this shipment on behalf of *** OverseasThis shipment came to us crated from MNWe had no involvement in the packing and or loading processThe shipment came in to our warehouse and due to the heavy volume we were experiencing, we delivered it on our first
available day which was the following weekAs Atlantic did not pack or load the shipment, we would have no involvement in any damage unless it occurred during the delivery process which it did not.We have asked the company overseeing the move to assist in the claim process as again we were only the destination agent and have no authority to be involved in settling of any claims

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 11390805, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me

It was mentioned to us by our overseas agent that the access to customer would require a shuttle and that is all we can go by they know the area and asked us to notify the customer of the additional charges, however, as it turns out there were no additional charges required and we regret any inconvience to our customerWe hope since the delivery is resolved with no additional charges needed we can all move forward with any more deliberation over thisWe will use this for future use on overseas shipments

I was referred to this company from Atlas Van Lines I have been trying to get a simple quote for more than a week I sent a list of items days ago, and was told I would hear back in a couple of hours Never did Called back today (after days), and was told I would get a call back in an hour or so Never happened I called hours later, and was told I would get a call back in 1/hour Of course, it never happened Worst customer service ever! They obviously don't need the business Lee Tis the person I spoke with; worst ever!

We sent a delay claim form to customer as soon as it was apparent the order would be delayed, out headquarters handles all of the delay claimswe are also very sorry about the delay and are sending a claim form today for the damage our customer has mentioned, we had heard nothing about damages
until this complaintthe claim form should be filled out and sent into the address on the instructions so the process can begin asap

In response to Mr*** last notes, I would like to clarify a few things. Regarding the communication, my understanding was that you spoke with the move coordinator almost daily during the time we were working on a solution to have the balance of your goods delivered. Unfortunately at that time, due to an extremely busy schedule, we did not have a solution to share with you and the coordinator. Your complaint to Revdex.com also had nothing to do with your delivery because we received your grievance through them after you goods had already been delivered. You can also notice that our record with Revdex.com and reputation in the market place has been stellar for many years and this was an unfortunate situation tied to the estimated weight of your order. I am very sorry to hear about interrupting your travel plans and understand now the additional frustration we caused you. In light of that, I will agree to reimburse you an additional $to settle this dispute
Best regards,

Failure to live up to commitments
They committed to have one of the movers drive one of my cars from Hilo to Kona, but the car showed up a week later than our household goods As a result, I had to drive all the way to Hilo to pick it up The manager (Gary H.) offered to pay up to $to a local tow truck company to remove our second car from the household goods container to make up for it I subsequently submitted the receipt from the towing company It's been five months now and all I get is a runaround MrHrefuses to return any of my e-mails or phone calls

Good afternoon, I immediately went back to *** as they are in charge of satisfying the claimThey immediately sent the email below to Mr***.Mr***, I have been advised that you need to file an insurance claim for your recent household goods relocation from Minnesota to Colorado. You can file your claim direct with Unirisc Insurance by following the attached instructions. Your policy/certificate number is *** in the amount of $2,500.00. The carrier name is *** Overseas Movers and our reference number is ***. I have copied in Stefanie Richardson of Unirisc insurance and will send her all of the shipping documents. Please send your completed claim directly to her. Regards, *** ***

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is somewhat satisfactory to me
I will file a claim as suggested by the business, but I reject their rules and regulations for the claim is as some of the rules are cumbersome and unnecessaryIf they fail to honor their commitments by rejecting the claim or delaying the claimLegal action will be takenI strongly recommend that the Revdex.com investigate the business practice further as their methods are unethical
Sincerely,
