Atlantic Retinning and Metal Refinishing Reviews (16)

Review: Per their order form on May 24, 2011 I sent them a copper pan requiring retinning together with my check in the amount of $68.00 for the work itself and its return to me. The refinished pan was never returned and my check was cashed. Numerous telephone calls were made, each time assuring me that It would be returned. I received neither the pan nor a return of my money.Desired Settlement: Return my pan and the $68.00.

Review: February 22nd 2013 we sent 16 copper pots and 8 lids to Atlantic Retinning to be retinned. We had to prepay, including the cost of the return shipping. The draft (cheque) was cashed when the pots were received at Atlantic Retinning. When the order was placed, we were told that it would take 2 months to complete. In May of 2013 we were told that they were in progress and would be another two weeks. In July, we were told [redacted] was away for 1 week and would call us back. We called repeatedly and get no response. On October 3rd, [redacted] did return a phone to my daughter, who called without announcing that she was looking for the pots, and left a cell phone number assuming it was a new client. We have called repeated times since with no responses.

Atlantic Retinning has been paid for a service that has not been provided and have a considerable value in cookware that was sent to them under the pretences of them taking care of them, refinishing them and returning them.Desired Settlement: We would just like to get our pots back, preferable retinned, but most importantly just get them back.

Review: Left messages regarding a service. No returned calls; Now when I try to call, their is no message, the phone just rings and eventually disconnect.Desired Settlement: Return my pot to me and my payment if it was received.

Review: I submitted a Dehillerin splayed sautee pan for retinning on 1/27/14 via [redacted] delivered 2/5/14, signed for by [redacted]. I have attempted numerous times over the last several months to find out where my pan has gone, and have never heard back nor received the pan back.Desired Settlement: I want my pan returned to me. Pan was shipped under [redacted] tracking [redacted] confirming shipping/delivery information. I have moved from my previous address ([redacted] NY [redacted]) to a new address ([redacted]) and just want the work completed and the pan returned.

Review: We sent to this company almost two years ago a pot and its lid to be retinned (work order[redacted] We have called numerous times and either the phone is not answered or the person on the other end promises the retinned pot very shortly. The cashed our check (I'll have to look it up, but we paid around $175). So they have our money and our pot.Desired Settlement: We either want our pot back, completely retinned, or the pot back in the same condition we sent it, along with a refund of our money and the cost of shipping the item.

Review: My company sent a clients tea kettle to be retinned and we have not heard from the company about when the order will be done or received the tea kettle back. I've tried calling but it says that the phone numbers are no longer in service. My client is wanting to know where her kettle is and when it is coming back.Desired Settlement: At this point I just want the tea kettle back ASAP and not to be charged whether the work is done or not.

Review: On March 25, 2013 I mailed 2 large copper pots, with payment in ful $150. (one hundred and fifty dollars) for interior retinning.of the 2 pots. The price was calculated according to information on their company website. The check was cashed. Despite numerous telephone calls to an answering machine, I have neither received a telephone call back, nor have I received my pots after a period of EIGHT months.Desired Settlement: To have my 2 copper pots returned, job completed within 3 weeks from today's date.

Review: I sent my two Parisian copper pots to get Re-tinned in February 2013- I sent them to Atlantic Re-Tinning along with a cheque for the service. The cheque was cashed in July 2013. I still have not received my pots. I called them several times and receive to answer.Desired Settlement: I need my pots mailed back and I want the amount I paid refunded.

Review: I shipped a copper pan to Atlantic Retinning in October of 2012 for refinishing and relining. The expect3ed time to completion was 6 weeks. Three months later I called and was told there was damage done to the location from the hurricane and there was a delay. In June on the 17th my check was cashed by the company with a discrepancy. The date had been adjusted to June 13th 2013 which was now well over 6 months after the check was issued to them. I ordered new checks in March of 2013 and they were completely different in appearance from the old ones not to mention completely out of order in the series. So not only have they had my pan for almost a year, they cashed the check, doctored it and three months later I still have not recieved it back. I spoke to someone in early May and he said they did have the pot and had recieved my messages, he confimed my mailing address and said once they cashed the check work would be done on the pan. I have left many messages as no one answers the phone asking for my pan and my $72.08 to be returned to me to no avail.Desired Settlement: I would like my pan and my money back. This pan is about 8" in daimeter and retails for between $125-150. If they no longer have my pan I want the money for it.

Review: I spoke to mr. J[redacted] in August 2012 in regards to a copper watering can repair. He told me to ship it to him. I spoke to him over the next year and a half, every few months. Each time he let me know he hadn't repaired it, but that he would soon. In 2014, I only spoke to his other employees that did not know about it. J[redacted] was never in. Yesterday, I called the number for the business and reached a new business that was unrelated. I would like my antique, sentimental copper watering can returned to me, repaired or un repaired. Thank you.Desired Settlement: I want the copper watering returned to me. If it is repaired or un repaired.

Review: Sent a copper pot to this company in January 2013 for refinishing. They received it on January 28, 2013 @ 12:34 PM. To date I have not received my pot. I called on April 15 and spoke to [redacted]. He told me he did not yet open the package. Told me he would look into it and try to get my pot back to me. I called on July 15 left a message to either fix or return my pot. I also sent a letter to James with a copy of the postal receipt and form that I filled out. I called today and received a message that the person I called is not accepting messages. Checked was cashed.Desired Settlement: Would like my pot returned, money returned.

Review: This company had previously done nice work on other copper pots and pans that I own but for some reason they are no longer responsive! It's been 2.5 years so far ...

Review: On 17 February 2012 I sent Atlantic Retinning and Metal Refinishing a small copper pot with lid and a small frying pan for retinning. In September 2012 they cashed my check for $104. For the last 1 1/2 years they have been assuring me I would have the pots back "soon." For the last 1 1/2 weeks they have not returned my phone messages. My patience is at an end. I want my pots returned to me along with a check for $104. I no longer want them to work on my pots.Desired Settlement: I want my pots returned to me along with a check for $104. I no longer want them to work on my pots.

Review: I shipped a pan to Atlantic Retinning on January 13, 2014, along with their order form (completed) and a check for payment. USPS tracking shows the package was delivered to them on January 14, 2014. Since that time I have heard nothing from this business--no acknowledgement of receipt, no estimated schedule for completion, no return of my property. I have called them five separate times, at different times of normal business days. Their phone system rings, picks up, and automatically disconnects, without giving me a chance to even leave a message. At no time did an actual person answer the phone.Desired Settlement: Require this business to immediately return my merchandise to me, in condition at least as good as it was in when I shipped it, along with my uncanceled check.

Review: I mailed a copper pan/skillet to Atlantic Retinning from my local post office on March 15th, 2014 with a check for repair and return postage - $78. On their order form, it states that trunaround time would be "6 to 12 weeks". After one phone call that I made to them - perhaps near the 10 weeks period, I was told the reason the check had not been cashed was that my delivery had not been opened yet. When I pointed out that checks to expire after a certain amount of time I was told not to worry. I was not given an expected return date when I asked. A few weeks later I called again and was told to call back to talk with the owner, [redacted] Now, 20 weeks after I mailed my item, the phone just rings and then disconnects. I don't expect to get much from this compaint as I noticed that they have failed to respond to a majority of the complaints submitted to the Revdex.com. I just wish I had seen the comments on [redacted] about Atlantic Retinning BEFORE I sent them my copper pan/skillet. No one had any good things to say. One man waited 3 YEARS for his item to be returned. What a bad operation. If I lived closer I would drive there and get my item.Desired Settlement: Please mail my package back to me ASAP. Do not attempt to repair. Package was delivered March 18th, 2014 by the [redacted]. Tracking #[redacted]

Review: In June of 2013 I sent a large copper stock pot with lid, a small copper baking pan, and a copper saute pan to Atlantic to be re-tinned. I have never gotten my items back. Attempts to contact the business result in a ringing phone that eventually picks up but then hangs up with no response. Thay had two checks from me one in June of 2013 in the sum of $285.00 and another in july for an additional $84.00. They called me and requested more money which I gladly paid since I thought they were doing the work and I felt they deserved to be paid well for their efforts.Desired Settlement: I would like the job finished or just please send me my pots and a refund. They are very valuable.
