This patient presented to our office in the need of new OrthoticsUpon arriving to our office for his first appointment, it was realized that We did not participate with his insurance, *** ***, but the patient still Wanted to be seen and pay for his services. Any time a patient is casted
for a pair of Orthotics, they will return to the office for the fittingThe cost of the Orthotics includes the actual device itself and the casting.When the patient comes into the office for their fitting of the device they are charged a Nurse visitThere is an appointment scheduled with the NurseThe Nurse will go into the room with the patient, have them take off their shoes and make sure the the Orthotics fit the patients arch and shoes well and do not need any adjustments, as these are Custom made devicesThen the Nurse will go over how to break the devices in and gives and goes over with the patient the instructions. Every patient is charged a Nurse visit for these servicesIf the Orthotics do need adjustments, they are not charged for a return visit.The patient did pay the Sout of pocket due to the fact that he choose to see us out of network.
