It is difficult to address these issues without more specificity; however, I will comment on the individual claims
I am
uncertain what misrepresentations the client claims were made regarding either the entity licensing or my credentialsI have attached a copy of the license which is posted in my office along with copies of both my paper license and my enhanced identificationBoth are current and in good standingAlso, I have attached a copy of the retainer agreement signed by the complainant which clearly shows that she was hiring Atlantis Detective Agency, A California PartnershipFinally, on our website, www.atlantisinvestigations.com, the entity name Atlantis Detective Agency and the PI # 27657, are clearly stated
With respect to any illegality, the investigation was conducted within the standard of care for any such investigation using methods and means common to the industryI refer the complainant to the retainer agreement which outlines our individual obligationsIf there is a specific allegation I will address it
Finally, with respect to the reports, the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services states as a matter of policy:
"Investigative reports must be submitted in a manner agreed upon by the investigator and the clientIf there is no agreement, oral reports are as acceptable as written reportsInvestigative reports must be submitted to the client upon demand if payment has been rendered."
Between October and November 11, there are no less than emails between myself and the client discussing the caseIn addition, the following is from my call log of phone consultations

In each of these conversations I provided the client with an update of the investigation and answered each question asked
The client did request a written report; however, I stated that she would have to pay the outstanding balance plus any additional charges incurred in the preparation of the reportThe client refused insisting that she had already paid for everythingI referred her to the second paragraph of the retainer agreement which stated that the $payment was an estimate of 50% of the total cost and not an agreement for a flat feeThe outstanding balance on her account is $without the additional cost of a written report
If there are any other questions regarding this complaint I am prepared to respondThere is one additional pointThe client has made a statement that I agreed to perform an illegal actTo do so would be a crime and defamatoryI caution against any publication of such remarks

Unfortunately, Ms*** was unhappy with the information we provided herWe referred her to the fee agreement on several occasions which states in no uncertain terms that investigations often lead to unexpected or negative results and that compensation is not dependent upon the clients’ expectationIf Ms*** is willing to provide written authorization specifically waiving confidentiality, we would be happy to provide your office with all of the supporting documentation regarding the investigationHowever, without such an authorization, I cannot discuss the particulars of the case or our findings
Again, we caution Ms*** again against defamatory statements suggesting we have committed some illegal actIt is not against the law to obtain banking informationAs a sample, I have attached a screen shot of a simple “Google” search showing several vendors who provide the same serviceTheir fees range from several hundred dollars to over $1,“No-hit” fees range from $to $If Ms*** continues to use defamatory statements aimed at this company, we will take whatever legal action is necessary to protect ourselves and the business

I reject this business response for it is full of statements, mistruths, and inaccuracy*** *** is not a private investigatorHe is a "partner" for a private investigation companyHe is a "principal"Mr*** *** is the "qualifying agent" to AtlantisHe holds the license to privately investigateThe numerous emails between *** *** and myself, were predominantly me asking status reportsThe initial phone consult, *** *** said he would have the information within hours, that was untrue, in over a month he obtained no information not even relatively close to the reasons for hireIt is against the law for anyone, to retrieve banking account informationNot only is it not legal, it is impossible, hence *** *** completely avoided the questions via email regarding "banking information"In the emails I provided, I make suggestions, and over the phone he stated, " he never thought of those things", and then has the audacity to try to charge me for doing something I had already completed, per his suggestion, as he would've "had to charge me, if he would have thought of it"The reasons for the permanent end to the State Bar of California are the exact same patterns as he practices through *** *** and this "company" AtlantisI am requesting, and have requested from *** *** a full refund in the amount of $He has rejected the request, and I did not "threaten" him, I notified him of the recourse I would have to take, if the simple request was not adhered tooThe dates in which *** *** stated we conversed, were inaccurate to it's entirety*** *** contacted me several times, asking me repetitive questions, irrelevant questions, and per my request of starting his investigation where I knew I would receive immediate answers, he choose to take my deposit, and to operate either deceitfully, with retrieving "bank information" or unlawfullyThe GPS data, was not another instance, where he states, "the GPS in inaccurate", yet continues to place and replace, (which their is no documentation the retrieval and placement happened), no serial numbers of the GPS devices, no maps on the "GPS report"A well known, respected, investigator in town, saw the "GPS report" Micheal Braa provided, and he had never, nor his colleagues seen a private investigator produce a GPS informational sheet to a client with no mapWhen I had suspected fraud with *** *** his lack of consistency was the catalyst*** *** informed me that he had retrieved his device from the subjects vehicle on a Saturday morning, he emailed me to let me know that information, he let me know he retrieved it on Friday nightThe irony of that email was that, I didn't ask him, nor had he ever informed me before that he had retrieved back his battery inefficient device, and that I had seen the subject on the Thursday prior to his "informative email" notification in the parking lot of Lowes'sThe subject was in town and had been, yet *** *** stated in the email that the subject returned late FridayI asked *** ***, in different emails to explain that situation, and he simply would notI am requesting that *** *** be notified of the liability that *** *** is contributing to his private investigator license, and the deposit in the amount of $be returned immediately
