My mom and I seemed dishonest because we expect for them to pay for the key they lost?!? This business has no concept of honestyThey actually think I took the key to my car on October and then left, drove to my family's house miles away, to come all the way back to get my car a week later? This makes absolutely no sense at allIt is difficult for me to even type a response to their nonsense because it is so ludicrous. As they have admitted, the key was in my car when they took possession of itWhen I talked to them on October and then when I went to pick it up on October 7, the key wasn't there, so THEY LOST MY KEY and they owe me $185. And they want to bring up possible storage fees? The only reason the car was there longer than five days is because THEY LOST MY KEY!!!!!!!!!! I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. The key to the vehicle was in the car upon arrival of the said vehicle. The owner was told if thevehicle was not picked up within five days storage would be added at $50.00 per day going allthe way back to the day of arrival which was 10/6/2017. The owner and two their family cameto pick up the car...
on Sat. Oct. 7th and went inside the lot to inspect the vehicle where it hadbeen stolen. Our employee did not stand over them to observe so the owners possible removedthe keys themselves. The theft at our lot that they mentioned was on the following weekend.We did not charge them any storage only the initial tow fee and for the key to be made. How dowe know that they were not just trying to get a spare key due to the cost, because they tried totell myself that the bill was already paid and had posted to their credit card on Sat when I wasnot at work. The card had not been run and they had to leave till a later date to get the money.They seemed very dishonest so we no other choice but to charge for the key to be made. Wedid work with them on the bill by not charging for storage.
