Atlantis

I arrived in Milan Italy on June 1st to work in a hospital for four weeks. I went with a program called The Atlantis Project, advertised as a study abroad for those who are pre medical students. We were told that only two people would be in a room together and we would all be in a safe apartment complex with transportation, alongside good shadowing and site managers who would help us with any issues. The day prior to arrival we were emailed to arrived at the apartment complex early. However, we all arrived and we did not get into our apartment until 4:30pm. Then, I noticed that I was living in an apartment with 9 other girls , with each bedroom holding three girls. This apartment was three stories and did not look anything like the apartments that other students in the program had. In fact, it was not even finished when we moved in, we watched as workers spackled the walls and put all of their supplies where our kitchen should have been. We could not plug in two cell phones within the entire apartment or else the electricity would go out. And of course, I lived on the third floor and my air conditioning unit did not work, the only one who's failed to have AC. We also realized, after looking at other apartments, that ours was the only one that is unfinished and had three people to a room. Our site managers had our kitchen stove working within a few days , but the AC never worked and our ventilation system was never attached. Then, with our lack of knowledge,the cleaning service came and suddenly things were missing. The cleaning service even stole a bad filled with jewelry belonging to my roommate whom she got from her uncle, who had unfortunately passed while we were abroad. We had so many issues we decided to call the emergency number that the company had given to us, but it wasn't in service. We called the USA number and it went to voicemail. My mother called because I am gluten intolerant and told them, yet every dinner we went to and every grocery we had was containing gluten. There is more
