Atlas Benefit Insurance Solutions is a full service insurance product company and maintains the billing and customer service departments for many outside companies. Each company we contract with is required to strictly follow our sales and verification procedures outlined below.
Atlas Benefit Insurance Solutions maintains a strict cancelation and refund policy with each product sold and it is clearly outlined to the customer in each recorded verification procedure. To maintain good customer service and a high level of quality control, each customer is transferred to a 3rd party verification agent at the end of the sales call. During this 3rd party verification process each customer is made aware of all products purchased including the price of each product individually, any enrollment fees applicable, the cancellation period within which the customer is eligible for a pro-rated refund, and all customer service phone numbers.
To better serve our existing customers we maintain a toll free customer service phone number that is fully staffed with an average wait time of less than 4 minutes.
[redacted] called our customer service department and received his prorated refund of $37.33 as he agreed to in the third party verification recording.
Atlas Benefit Insurance Solutions always strives for the complete satisfaction of each customer. To that end, we have called the customer and informed him that he received the remainder of his initial purchase of $109.99 ($72.66) his checking account ending in 9444 on 12-01-2015.

Atlas Benefits in no way allows or condones our third party
companies to misrepresent any services or products they sell. In addition every
customer must go through a third party verification service. During the
verification process, the customer is told that the discount products are not
ACA compliant and that they are strictly a discount service and that there is
no “coverage” for any of the discount products. Discount health products are
sold as an ancillary benefit to the customer, usually to supplement an
insurance plan the customer already has in place.
Atlas Benefits always strives for the complete satisfaction
of each customer. To that end, Ms Isaacs has been fully refunded and the recurring
subscription has been canceled.

they are an existing customer, an interested prospect or even an unknown party.
After thorough research into this complaint, we could not find any active account using the name, phone number, email or the physical address provided by Mr [redacted]. However we did find one (1) incoming call from the (XXX) XXX-XXXX number. We have put both numbers provided by the complainant on our DNC list.
We reached out to the marketing companies purchase leads from and they found one (1) outbound call. This call originated from the marketers office because the complainant entered their contact information online and had requested a health insurance quote. The numbers provided by Mr. [redacted] were already on the company DNC list at the time of our inquiry.
If the complainant continues to receive calls, it is not from our company or any of the marketing companies we use.

This customer bought two products from our company. One product was a short term insurance product. The second product was a discount health product. It is very clear at the time of purchase that two (2) products are going to be billed separately. The customer MUST, on a recorded line , agree to two...

(2) separate purchases each being charged separately. In addition, each customer must also verbally agree that the products must be canceled separately. This is because the two products are controlled by different companies and there is no way to cancel them both except by canceling them individually.If our company was to refund every person that didn't write down the conditions of the sale, or forgot that they must be canceled separately, we would not be able to conduct business in a profitable manner. It is not our responsibility to continuously monitor each record to ensure that every customer is canceling both products at the same time. In addition, many customers cancel the short term medical product and keep the discount product as the discount product can be used in conjunction with any health insurance plan.We feel it is unreasonable to refund money to a customer that did not follow the agreed upon conditions.All products for this customer have been canceled and no recurring charges will be made on his account.

To that end, we have called the customer and expressed our concern that she did not understand the product she was purchasing. After speaking with her, we have determined that a refund of the $40.00 enrollment fee should be credited to her account. The credit was issued 02/10/2016 to the customer's credit card ending in [redacted]

The customer called to request a cancel form on 8-11-2015, however we don't have record that it was returned.

customer called back on 9-14-2015 our CSR canceled the product and gave him a credit for the September charge.
After looking into this case I further credited the customer back the August charge as the customer clearly stated he had acquired insurance through his employer on 8-11-2015.
In addition, the customer receives a pro-rated credit for canceling with in the first 30 days.

of each customer. After reviewing this complaint, it appears that the only
product charged through Atlas Benefits was a discount product and the full amount
of $39.00 was refunded. Ms [redacted] indicated in her complaint that there was
another product that she needs a refund for.  Atlas Benefits does not have access to each
individual company that uses our services. We cannot refund charges that did
not occur using our payment gateway.

This member canceled the product on 9/5/2107. We make sure to let each customer know that it may take 3-5 business days for the credit to be reflected in their account. The customer was refunded both the first month’s premium and the enroll fee on 9/11/2017 at 10:33 AM PST.As this refund was processed within the 3-5 business day period, Atlas cannot be held responsible for any overdraft fees that may have been charged by the bank. Atlas Benefits always strives for the complete satisfaction of each customer so we regret that this customer had any issues at all connecting with our customer service team as most of the responses we get from customers are positive when dealing with our company.
