[redacted] Ms [redacted] originally purchased a Ford Escape with us on 8/30/[redacted] with a limited warrantyThe warranty covers the engine block, internally lubricated parts, transmission, drive axles, starter, fuel pump, water pump, and alternator for months or miles, which ever occurs first On 3/3/ [redacted] Ms [redacted] called and informed us her vehicle was immobile at her sisters houseWe dispatched a tow driver to retrieve the vehicle, upon inspection it was determined her vehicle would need a transmissionThe customer expressed concern that she did not have time to wait on a transmission job, even though the customer was out of her warranty period, and with no obligation to do so, we agreed to trade Ms [redacted] in to another vehicle 3/7/ [redacted] Ms [redacted] was traded in to a PT cruiserRoughly a week later [redacted] called and advised the vehicles service engine light had come on and said the vehicle was not running smoothlyWe scheduled her maintenance appointment for 3/which she did not show up to [redacted] called again 3/and said she had a trip out of town and expressed concern about driving the vehicleShe was advised if she could not get the vehicle to us to inspect before her trip, that she has it checked out by another mechanic shop On 3/ [redacted] called and advised the vehicle was on the side of the highwayWe dispatched a tow truck and retrieved the vehicleUpon inspection it was determined that the vehicle was driven hot for too long, resulting in a blown motor Ms [redacted] has missed a total of service appointmentsHad she shown to her appointments we feel the issues could have been remedied before serious damage was causedWe have agreed to cover the motor under the original warranty even though this malfunction was due to customer neglect [redacted] The PT Cruiser had previously been soldThe customer had experienced trouble starting the vehicle and was traded the next day after purchaseIt turned out to be a security issue with the vehicle which was fixed by a Dodge dealership prior to the purchase of Ms [redacted] In no way was there previous motor damage [redacted] Auto Finance Solutions NDixie BlvdRadcliff, KY [redacted]
