My customer called me around January 25, 2017, and asked that I take a look at his fence - that it was leaning over again Upon inspection of the fence, I found the newly installed 4”x4”x10’ Pressure treated #ground contact timber post was snapped at about inches from the groundWhen I originally replaced the fence posts and repaired the fence in July 2016, the post was snapped in the same place as the newly installed post (as noted in paragraph above)I spoke with the owner of my materials supply company (from where I purchased materials for this job) and had him double check my invoice listing the materials I purchased for this jobHe confirmed that I had purchased and installed the proper fence material for this jobThe original fence was made from the same type of lumber - although I did now know what grade of lumber To make the repairs that I made, I installed the highest and best grade of materials available on the marketWhen I spoke with my customer regarding the second time the post broke, I told him that the fence looked like it had been hit by something and asked him what he wanted me to doHe stated that he was going to talk with the managing group in charge of the HOA and that was the last I have heard from himI did not use poor quality fencing lumber/posts or any substandard materials on his job I feel that my workmanship was above standard and that I am no way responsible to again repair, replace the fence, or refund to him what he paid for the repair
