In reference to this particular debt, our client, [redacted] did indeed provide invoices as well as a bid for work performed at the request of Ms. [redacted]. They also provided to us correspondence outlining the details of the work Ms. [redacted] asked to be done as well as the completion of the work...

performed by our client. This information was provided to us upon the assignment of the account to our agency for collections on 12/12/2016. Thank you, Elisha M[redacted]Collection SupervisorAtlas Financial Services

Atlas Financial Services is a third party collection agency. We were assigned an account from our client [redacted] Institute for Mr. [redacted] on 4/22/16. I was able to pull all four conversations we had with the consumer and his wife.
On 4/29/16 we called the phone number provided of...

[redacted] and spoke to a woman stating she was Mr. [redacted]'s wife. We require that our collectors ask to verify information to confirm identity so that we do not violate third party disclosure. The collector asked Mrs. [redacted] to verify Mr. [redacted]'s date of birth for security purposes. She declined and asked what the call was for. The collector did identify herself and our agency but advised that before she could proceed she would need to verify the date of birth. Mrs. [redacted] asked for us to send a letter instead and we were able to verify the mailing address to send the letter. The call ended.
On 5/5/16 we called [redacted] and spoke to a woman identifying herself as Mr. [redacted]'s wife. We asked to speak with Mr. [redacted] and were told this was not a number to reach him and stated she was driving but would let him know we were trying to reach him.
On 5/10/16 the collector searched our skip tracing database to locate an alternate phone number to reach Mr. [redacted]. She located [redacted].
On 5/13/16 We called [redacted] and spoke to a man who identified himself as being Mr. [redacted]. The collector asked to verify his date of birth to confirm identity before proceeding with disclosing account information. Mr. [redacted] declined, he was advised we need to confirm identity before proceeding. The collector then advised that we had spoken to his wife and had tried to reach him previously. Mr. [redacted] then stated that we were disturbing his wife. The collector indicated the number was one that was provided to us to contact him then the line went dead. It was assumed that he had hung up the phone.
On 9/9/16 we called [redacted] and spoke to a man who identified as being Mr. [redacted]. The collector was cut off when attempting to disclose where she was calling from, he stated he had sent us a letter asking that we do not call him until we have provided a letter from his insurance stating they denied payment. The collector stated we had no such letter but she would code the account as a do not call and the call was ended.
At no time did the collector ask to confirm a full social security number for verification. Although this is something we do ask for, at least the last four digits as it is imperative we ensure we are speaking to the correct party before disclosing personal account information.
Neither Mr. [redacted] nor his wife asked at any time that we prove the insurance declined to pay. We were asked to send a letter, which we did, indicating the account was listed with our agency for collections.
We do not have a letter from Mr. [redacted]. He can fax it to me however at [redacted].
We can and will absolutely provide documentation supporting the debt. It is imperative we confirm identity. We also require that Mr. [redacted] complete and return a Protected Health Information (PHI) form so that we can provide that documentation to him. Please call us directly and we can help resolve the matter.
Mr. [redacted] should have received an explanation of benefits from his insurance company. They would clearly indicate what amounts they paid and what was not covered. I believe he will get his question answered much quicker if he contacts his insurance company.
I hope we can continue to assist Mr. [redacted] in resolving this debt. He is welcome to contact our office at [redacted] x [redacted] or he can send his requests in writing. Faxing the requests or emailing to my attention Elisha T[redacted].

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
I would like to hear those conversations, me and my wife provided [redacted] with my [redacted] insurance in many occasions and they never told her or me about any coverage problems.
Sincerely,[redacted]

At this time I have responded to the dispute to the best of my ability and provided information on how to resolve the matter. Atlas now considers this matter closed. As I stated previously, Mr. [redacted] will need to contact his insurance for details on payment or denial of the claim in question.  My client billed the insurnce provided to them. There is not anything more I can do. Please also be advised that call recordings, as I stated, are for training and quality assurance and are in house records. They are not available to the public.
Please direct further questions to my office directly. You can call me at [redacted]. I hope that Mr. [redacted] is able to get his questions answered with the informaion I have provided to him.

Thank you.
