[redacted]The Revdex.com Department received a consumer complaint from [redacted](the "lnsuredH) regarding the recent cla im and the subsequent request for repairs of his propertyinsured under [redacted] policy number [redacted](the "Policy").Atlas General Agency, ("Atlas") Is an appointed managing general agent for Republic. A "managinggeneral agent" Is a corporation that Is authorized by an insurer to accept and process on theInsurer's behalf Insurance policies produced and sold by other agents.We received the Insured's additional concerns on October 31, 2016. The initial adjusters findingsIncluded hail hits on the front slope that did not penetrate the shingles, chips In the shingles on theeave of the left elevation, one area of pipe flashing that was lifted, a damaged window screen, onebroken ridge shingle and the rear slope had two shingles with chips and one nail-pop. Additionally,Interior water damage was found and limited to the ceiling In the kitchen. The kitchen ceiling Iscontinuous throughout the dining room and den. Based on the damages the Initial adjuster wrote anestimate to repair one square of shingles on the roof, to replace the window screen, repair thekitchen ceiling and to paint the continuous ceiling. The initial adjusters total estimate of repair cameto $1,004.02 for the damages found. The Insured Is responsible for his/her wind and hall deductibleof $2,300.00.A second adjuster inspected the home and found no additional damages.[redacted]The Insured indicates that he/she is in possession of an estimate from a contractor to repair the roofand states that the contractor indicated the roof is not repairable. Atlas has not corresponded withor received any documentation from the Insured's contractor to date. The correspondence Atlasmailed to the Insured on May 6, 2016 states "if you obtain Information Indicating the repairs willIndeed exceed your deductible, please forward to our office11•Atlas will review any newly submitted information or documentation. We are prepared to send out athird adjuster to meet with the Insured's contractor to go over each area of concern once we havereceived this documentation. The documentation can be sent to [redacted] TheInsured's policy further states that he/she may Invoke the Appraisal clause if we do not agree on theactual cash value, amount of loss, or cost of repair or replacement. Each party will pay its ownappraiser and bear the other expenses of the appraisal and umpire equally.I trust this responds to the Insured's Inquiry. I am rejecting this response because:The adjusters are clearly biased. Ive had two inspections. When I bought the house it was said to be less than 5 years old. I just had the house re appraised from refi and it was said to be less than 10 years old. Also the one adjuster contradicts what the other adjuster says. No damage at all and the other talks about the hail damage..... So which is it? The roofing estimate that I had obtained said there was hail damage to the roof. It is not repairable. If I try to repair it the shingles in that area will break, then more will have to be pulled in which other will break and before you know if I will have replaced the whole side of the roof. It is quite evident and clear that this company places no value on their customers. I am unclear as to why I have paid over $6k to this insurance company over the last few years. I assume that I will just need to continue to pursue my claims with the [redacted] I would like both of the adjusters names and state licensing numbers so I can additionally file claims with the state against those adjusters. Since all of this hassle, after the damage, after the adjusters, after  the roofers and everyone else my own father had come to visit. Being a construction company owner in the state of washington thought it was absolutely shocking and down right wrong that this was not covered. With his over 40 years in the construction business as a licensed contractor, having seen the roof when I bought the house and after the damage does not understand how the adjusters who are paid by the insurance company that do what they want sided with the insurance company. For starters, some how we will have to find a resolution. #2 I will never recommend this insurance company. #3 I am NOT currently terminating my policy however it LIKELY will NOT be renewed with this company. I would rather throw my money away to another company.
