Atlas did top notch work.

I have used Atlas Restorations for several jobs associated with installing piers under a sinking foundation and waterproofing cold joints They have done a high quality job in all cases and I would recommend them and use them again

I had a positive experience with Atlas Restorations My porch was a disaster I live in a three story townhome where the porch had pulled away from the townhome and was sinking and the bricks were starting to crumble Because of the HSA, the porch couldn’t be torn down and rebuilt, but had to be restored It was a very complicated job and Atlas successfully lifted my porch back to the foundation Additionally, they were very professional from start to finish, answering my husband and my separate questions (often repeating themselves) I would definitely recommend them

Our experience started out with Jason who came on short notice showed nothing but class when he was dealing with my parents and I he gave an accurate estimate he was straightforward with everything the work was done on time even though we had to delay it twice because of Misfortune in the family Jason was kind and patient the people at the office when it came time for billing were tremendous I could not recommend a company hire then Atlas they were fabulous every step of the way I would recommend them to anybody

ATLAS Restoration replaced a deteriorating sill in my yrtownhomeThis sill supported a ftceilingThe company representative took the time to listen to what caused the issue, and time to thoroughly examine the area affected He explained how the project would be presented to colleagues and worked through a series of reviews to assure the work could and would be done wellThe office personnel followed up with a detailed rendering and explanation of the work required, the timeline and cost electronically They were available for questions and clarification when contacted by phone The work was completed by a skilled carpenter, who remained onsite under the village inspector was available to inspect the repair (hours after work was completed!) The repair passed inspection
I would strongly recommend ATLAS Restoration, LLCfor work related to their expertise

I began talking to Atlas Restoration at the suggestion of a reputable structural engineer regarding a home we were considering purchasing; a portion of the home had settled considerably with visible slope in the floor (inches in 15'), there was visible damage to the brick work on the outside and the foundation of the home in the settled areas sat right at or below grade Our goal in contacting Atlas restoration was to improve the condition of the foundation and to level the house We also contacted a house lifter and considered lifting the entire house off the foundation, removing the existing foundation and building a new one The latter was cost prohibitive and deemed "overkill" by many professional contractors, architects, and engineers Conversations and meetings with *** *** the sales person at Atlas ensued beginning in the fall of to the time the work began in July We engaged at our own expense an independent structural engineer to assess the soundness of the foundation as well as a soil engineer to do soil borings to test the structure of the soil Both the structure and the soil were deemed sound but never the less the house had settled and was terribly uneven so we wanted to try to lift it and the most reasonable way was through underpinning
The salesman, *** had seen the home, the visible slope in the floor, had been inside the home in the crawl space and had access to all the original and modified plans (the part of the home in question was an addition) and reviewed them at my request with Atlas's engineer ,*** *** prior to the work beginning The point is, there was plenty of time and analysis done to be able to tell me that they were uncomfortable lifting the house or that they were not capable of doing so
In fact, *** originally proposed underpinning on both ends of the addition However before we agreed to do the work I questioned whether that would create an issue when they went to lift the home since the middle would not be supported *** suggested we get their engineer out to assess whether we should add additional piers in the center The engineer said it would not be a bad idea and so I agreed to pay more for additional piers-presumably to ensure the lifting would not create structural issues This was in early June
As an aside, in February, I sent an email specifically asking if they would be able to lift the house to get it reasonably level The answer was yes with the qualification that sometimes there are things that make it hard to get it perfectly level But as you can see from the above information, I was never told or led to believe that there would be any significant issues I do acknowledge that *** and I discussed the fact that the house might not be perfectly level at the end, but it would be close We also discussed the fact that in the process of leveling I might have damage to the windows, drywall, areas where they had ade repairs to account for the prior settling, shifting floors and doorsI made it very clear that we understood and were not concerned as we had plans to remodel the inside and redo the bathroom on that side of the house IN other words, we had numerous conversations after that where I indicated that my goal was to get the house as level as possible
I was explained the process of underpinning and then attaching hydraulics to the piers which would lift the home little by little as a unit WE also discussed work that might need to be done to the steel beam in the crawl space in order to lift the house The proposal included a contingency amount to address the beam if needed
In June we finally decided the underpinning route was the way to go to accomplish our goal of leveling the house and ensuring the home would not settle any farther They started the work on JUly The Foreman *** came out to look at the house and reviewed the architectural drawings of the home, the crawl space, the beam in the crawl space, and the reports from the structural engineer No mention was made of concerns about lifting the house They completed the excavation and underpinning and informed me that I woudl need to install additional crack plates in the foundation But *** the lead man on the crew doing the work told me repeatedly not to worry, the foundation was not bad compared to what he had seen On the following Monday I was told by *** the foreman that he would be lifting the house on Wednesday July AT the end of that day he said he had lifted it about an inch and he didn't want to do any more until he worked on the beam in the crawl space He told me he would be back on Thursday to do that He didn't come until Friday to do that Meanwhile, on Thursday the crew began to disconnect the hydraulics used to lift and to backfill the perimeter of the house As this was our move date, I was engaged with the movers at our old house and was unaware of what was happening until Friday I questioned *** on Friday afternoon and he did not give me an answer, he avoided my question It wasn't until the next week when we revisited the idea and I was told he was concerned about damage to the windows and interior of the houseWhen I told him that was not an issue he indicated he was not going to be lifting any further he acknowledged that they would have to reexcavate and that the equipment had been disconnected He-*** the foreman- gave me the contact information for the president of the company I contacted him immediately I got no response After about a week I let *** know I had not heard anything and was told he never got my email It was also never returned to me and it showed up in my sent emails
We finally had a meeting with two additional gentleman I had never heard of or seen before, the owner of the company who is not an engineer or an architect, the foreman and the salesman, *** They did not bring their engineer or anyone that even had an engineering background Yet they claimed the reason they didn't lift the house further was that it might compromise the structure and they were worried about it
If you can follow this very long story you will likely come to the same conclusion I have:
They sold me more than what I needed
They did not do what they said they could and would do]
They made a decision not to perform the work we agreed upon without consulting me
In the last meeting I had with the owner et al, I told the company I would like an independent opinion as to the ability to lift the house another 2-inches and that until I got that answer I would not pay them the remainder of the balance owed I also made it very clear that I was NOT looking for a price reduction but for them to do the work they said they could and would perform
Although *** and *** and the crew who actually did the work had what I would say was a great work ethic and were pleasant and professional (that is why gave the firm a 2) I would NOT recommend or use Atlas restoration again They cannot be trusted It is hard to convey all the nuances of this situation But I am a savvy consumer of these kinds of services having grown up in a family business of real estate developers and home builders I know what to reasonably expect and ask far more questions than the average person I also expect honesty and transparency and fairness I got none of those things from the salesman or the management of the company If you can't get it there, you are in trouble I would be very very wary of doing business with Atlas Restoration

Atlas Restoration recently did drain tiles and new sump pump work and couldn’t of been more professional, on time, quality work and completely neat and careing workers I’ve already gave referrals of the company to neighbors and others of such a quality company as Atlas Water Restoration Company

Nice job but expensive

Fixed a long term water leakage problemSales guy did multiple redos of the quote till we got to something I was willing to afford Crew that came did a nice job, were friendly asked questions to confirm my desires and made reasonable adjustments to get a successful result Thanks!

Excellent to do business withThey went above and beyond for meWould happily recommend them

On February 25, 2016, I contracted with MrJason *** at Atlas Restoration to waterproof my basement at a price of $4, I selected Atlas because they were the only waterproofing business that I found that had no complaints with the Revdex.com Also, they were listed on ***’s ListAlthough there is some minor leakage around the basement, severe leakage was by the basement stairs Only the severe leakage was to be remedied Among other things, a floor drain was to be installed on the floor at the base of the stairs several inches from the wall As it was, the water would flow across several inches (about six inches) before entering the drain I expressed my concern about this as we would be continuing to step in water as we stepped off the last stair The response was, “That is the only place we can put the drain.”
Trusting that they were professionals in good standing with the Revdex.com and ***’s List, I had to accept their recommendation When the work was done and the dust had cleared, I went down to see the work The drain was where I expected it to be, right where in the middle of the floor where a person would normally place their foot when stepping off the last stair What I wasn’t told nor was it stated in the proposal that the drain was about ½ inch below the floor, which would cause a person to loose balance and fallI paid for the work which was done, which now I have learned that shouldn’t have, and discussed the issue with Mr*** Mr*** sent the workers to my home who recommended that the existing drain be sealed and a new drain be installed on the ledge at the top of the wall to catch the water before it ever reaches the floor This contradicts Mr***’s statement that there was no other place to install the drainTo do this work cost me an additional $ To say the least, I was truly upset that Mr***’s poor judgement cost almost a thousand dollars more than the original contract Mr*** stated that they did the work and I must pay I feel that this was his mistake, not mine, yet I paidAlso, I was verbally told that the warranty would cover five feet beyond the work done I have recently learned that the verbal warranty was not included in the written contract/proposal and did not exist

The installation went very smoothlyOne month ago
Just returned home from a trip and found some leakage
just called Atlas and I am sure they will come and solve my problem
