to the location manager and to verify the sale with our processor. On July 8, before I could respond to Ms. [redacted], she contacted her issuing bank, and I received a chargeback notification; $232.00 was then removed from our bank account--$234.50 + a $7.50 fee.  I  followed standard procedure and chose to file a rebuttal letter. Ms. [redacted] stated in her complaint that her son did not receive a receipt.  Please let me clarify:  While speaking with Ms. [redacted] on July 7, she stated that her son lost the receipt.  Along with my rebuttal letter I attached our copy of the sales slip showing her son's signature and agreement to pay the stated amount of $374.50.  At the time of the sale, Ms. [redacted]'s son did not question the amount of the sale. After a customer chooses to file a claim, I again follow procedure and have no further contact with the customer; on August 15, the chargeback was reversed; the original amount of the chargeback claim, $234.50, was credited to our bank account.  I then considered the matter settled. Please note that Fireworks City has been in business for over 50 years; we feel our staff is competent at all of our locations; they strive for the highest degree of accuracy on every sale.  Yes, per city ordinances, our locations do close following July 4; but our office is open all year, and we did answer Ms. [redacted]'s calls.  We work to resolve any situations such as this; please let me reaffirm that once a chargeback claim is filed we no longer maintain contact with the customer. Thank you for contacting us regarding this complaint and for allowing me to respond to the complaint. [redacted]
