Review: I sighed a contract for repairs with [redacted] with ATS pools on 4-05-2014. On 4-06-2014, I cancelled the contract by fax to their office and by certified mail on 4-07-2014 as per Maryland home improvement law of my cancellation rights within 3 days. I did not stop payment on the check as I assumed I was dealing with a reputable company and expected my check back in the mail by the end of the week. I was confused with a voice mail message from [redacted] about copping selection on Friday 4-11-2014. I immediately called him and asked what was going on. He surly knew with both a Fax and certified mail of my cancellation why the question about copings? He said the office was closed and could not find out anything at that time. I then went on my online bank account to find that they had cashed my check on Friday (6 days latter) instead of returning it to me. I immediately called [redacted] back and voiced my concern and that I wanted my deposit back immediately. He said he would look into it. I told him that for now I would consider it to just be a mistake but if I did not receive the deposit back within 5 days I would file an official complaint with The Home Improvement Commission. It upsets me that they would cash this check rather then returning it. Waiting for resolution.Desired Settlement: Refund deposit.
