I called to inquire about them putting a sump pit in my basement The lady that answered the phone was very pleasant and made sure to emphasize the 100% price match guarantee The plumber came out to look the job over and shot me a price of $which was more than double what I had been quoted I needed some other work done that the first company did not do so I asked about the guarantee We haggled back and forth a bit and finally settled on $for everything and the work was scheduled for this morning at AM Fast forward to this morning: A "QA" guy showed up at the house and wanted to look the job over He came to me after a few minutes telling me they were passing and would not do the job He weakly referenced that there was quite a bit of water in the ground now as a reason why they couldn't do it but the key was when he said "especially at that price" so that means that the entire thing was that they couldn't make their exorbitant rates so they decided to pass Thanks, guys I canceled an appt with another company and took a day off work Never again will I use these guys

I called AttaBoy Plumbing on Bash Street in Indianapolis because I had a leak at my water heater The water heater was 10+ years old so anticipated that I would need to replace it AttaBoy sent out someone to assess the situation and then would send out a plumber to do the work I don't think this person was a plumber at all because he couldn't ever turn the water off at the water heater He told me that I needed an new water heater indeed because there was rust on the plugs at the top of the water heater so the insides were probably rusted too I asked about just replacing the connection to the water line and was told that would not take care of things I was given a quote for $1,to replace the water heater I knew this was way too much since most water heaters cost around $ I told them no way I got someone else to come and look at it and ended up replacing the connector from the water heater to the water line The part cost $7.10!! I can't believe that they tried this with me!! Don't ever use them

As per the signed legal contract (attached) the work performed was approved prior to beginning the work by Ms. [redacted] and Ms. [redacted] acknowledged the satisfactory completion of the work.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Chris did not quote me the cost of the repair prior to fixing the float.  I did not sign anything nor was I made aware of the cost to adjust the float until AFTER the work had been done.  There is no way it would be $92.50 for 15 minutes worth of time.  That is outrageous!  Again, I feel that the $49 trip charge is more than enough to cover this repair.  Plus, Chris told me he was already in my neighborhood doing another repair so it's not like he made a trip just for my service call.  I would like a refund for the overcharge.

I needed some other work done that the first company did not do so I asked about the guarantee. We haggled back and forth a bit and finally settled on $1800 for everything and the work was scheduled for this morning at 8 AM. Fast forward to this morning: A "QA" guy showed up at the house and wanted to look the job over. He came to me after a few minutes telling me they were passing and would not do the job. All customers are made aware, over the phone when placing a service call of what to expect when AttaBoy Plumbing Company.  This is the script our CSR's use:"When your plumber arrives, he will diagnosis the [fill in the problem] and after he has had a chance to do that, he will talk with...

you and let you know what's wrong, what caused it, what options you might have and the cost to have it [fixed/repaired/replaced].  If you choose to have him do the work, he will take care of it right away and you will just be charged the amount he has quoted.  If you choose not to have him do the work, the only charge we have at that point is a $49.00 service call fee, but that fee will be waived if you have him do any work at all."Our plumber, upon examining the problem, made the customer aware of what the problem was with her toilet and the cost to have it repaired prior to the work being performed.  She signed a contract (see attached) approving the work to be done knowing what the price would be.  Upon completion, she signed the same contract acknowledging it had been done to her satisfaction.
