[redacted] –We received the below message from you yesterday Unfortunately, your online system will not allow us to submit a response perhaps we should enter a complaint, seems to work for everyone else.Based on the below customer’s abusive rant to our customer service folks over the phone and his comments below, I’m not sure exactly what he is seeking from us other than to complain about the fact that his fan motor rusted and that he doesn’t like paying for shipping costs Our warranty very clearly states that we offer a “Parts Only” warranty covering any defects or failures due to workmanship or product quality We do not cover failures due to external events such as weather or environmental factors.This customer lives in one of the harshest salt-air environments in the world with respect to corrosion and he knows this Even so, Attic Breeze has had thousands of our products installed in Hawaii over the past 10+ years with very few warranty claims Most customers respect the fact that if they are going to live on the beach, they will have to deal with corrosion Most customers in Hawaii also realize that any time they need to send something back to the continental US, there is usually a significant shipping cost associated with this However, both of these facts have seemed to have been put aside by this customer.We will gladly provide the customer with a new motor at no cost through our warranty program, even though the part does not qualify under warranty However, the customer was specifically instructed not to send us the fan blade as damage during shipping may occur Unfortunately, the customer did not follow instructions as he admitted in his complaint and damage to fan blade did in fact occur during shipping The result is that the customer paid far more in shipping costs than he would have otherwise by simply returning only the motor (very small package vslarge package) and now also requires a new replacement fan blade Those charges we cannot waive.Please let us know if you need anything additional to resolve this matter.Regards, [redacted] ***PresidentAttic Breeze***-***-*** (Direct)***-***-*** (Main)***-***-*** (Fax)www[redacted] .net
