Scam Artists
I bought a shed and paid it off. Kept receiving calls and text about getting a loan. I was told the loan would be for 2 years. When I called after a year to pay off early I was told it was a three year loan. I called a year later to find out what was the payoff amount and was told it is now a four year note. I never got my contract. Don't do business with these crooks cause everything everyone has stated is how they do all business dealings. So I have been paying 120 now for almost 3 years to the tune of $5320. Would have been easier to go to a loan shark than dealing with them.

They are a SCAM- I put 4000 down on a shed that totaled 8000, payed 1300 in payments and asked for the pay off amount. They said 3800. I said I payed 1300 so far and it should be 2700? They said I get charged $49 dollars a month for rental fees above the pay off and that fee is there to the term of the contract even if I pay it off early? So I said well let me pay it off right now. They said they would take my CC card but it would cost and additional 5 percent to do the transaction. So you will loose if you deal with these Jerks. Way to many fees and hidden cost to justify a buy with them. My Shed now cost me almost $10,000 to own it. NEVER AGAIN.

Company is not fulfilling warranty on shed. We bought a shed with a shingled roof. Shingles have fallen off allowing water to enter thru the roof and damage items stored inside. I have attempted several times to contact them for repair as covered by warranty. Each time I have been directed to someone else. Upon finally reaching someone, I have been told each time they would send someone out to determine if its due to wind damage or their error. I have yet to have anyone come to my home to look at the damage. I have inspected the roof and determined that the staples they used are not adequate enough nor did they remove the paper on the back of the shingles in order for them to adhere to the ones underneath. Desired SettlementI paid for paper and shingles to repair damage done. I would like a credit towards the amount of the shed. Business Response In response to customer complaint please consider the following;*Customer is and has been an Atwood Rental customer beginning 10/2013*Customer reported damage to shingles due to storm 7/23/2014 to our company. Atwood Rentals, at that point, referred customer to the maufacturer. Atwood Rentals does not warranty the portable buildings. The warranty is directly through the manufacturer and is a craftsmanship warranty only. The manufacturer is [redacted] Buildings.[redacted] Headquarters[redacted] XXXXXOffice: XXX-XXX-XXXX / Fax: XXX-XXX-XXXXIt was communicated to our office damage was from a thunderstorm 7/2014(attached email from customer, along with account notes detailing all communications). We did not hear anything else from customer until 10/2014 (in notes history) and customer refused to allow us to direct them or get further inolved and stated she (spouse of customer) would fix it herself. As a back up [redacted] within our company did contact [redacted] with [redacted] and advise of the customer concern. [redacted] communicated they would contact customer.Atwood Rentals has not heard anything about or further regarding this issue until receipt of the Revdex.com complaint filed against our company. Upon review of this complaint [redacted] with our company contacted the Manufacturer and spoke with several. Apparently, warranty does not cover acts of nature, they communicated they have attempted several times to reach customer. [redacted] disclosed (to us and to customer in messages) the materials used and the wind it withstands and that the warranty would not cover damage due to the act of nature. It is my understanding the customer is requesting a credit to the account to compensate for the repair they did themselves. No amount to our knowledge has been discussed and customer will not answer to calls or texts. Atwood Rentals at this point is unsure of what the customer expectation from our company is. If it is a matter of a small credit being applied to the account Atwood Rentals is willing to negotiate and work with the customer within reason, although the warranty does not cover this damage. Please advise further. Atwood Rentals does not represent a customer database of unhappy or unsatisfied customers and takes pride knowing we do all we can to provide customers with excellent customer service (even when it means going above and beyond and working on a customer's behalf with a manufacturer). I believe that there was a request for pictures of damages by manufacturer from customer, and to date manufacturer has not received any pictures.

I paid off the portable building in July 2012. The company is now billing me again for $1719.52.In 2010, I purchased, through rent-to-own, a portable building from Atwood Rentals. The original purchase price was $5000 and I paid for over a year. On 07/11/2012, my fiance, [redacted] contacted the company and was provided a pay-off amount of $4300.83 from a lady named [redacted] I wrote a check for that amount with "paid in full" on the memo line. The company cashed the check and stopped sending statements. Then in August 2013, I started receiving statements again stating that I owed $1719.52. I've attempted to resolve this issue with the accounting department ([redacted]) but they still say I owe them. I received a phone call today from [redacted] stating that I failed to keep my committment to pay in September and they are coming to pick up the building. I NEVER MADE A PROMISE TO PAY - I feel like I paid it off in July 2012. The company says they have recordings of all telephone conversations; yet, they are unable to locate the one in which [redacted] told my finance the pay-off. We did not pull that number out of thin air.Desired SettlementI want the company to acknowledge that the debt has been paid in full. I want them to correct any negative credit reporting. I want them to stop collection activity and intimidating phone calls that they are going to repossess the property.
