I was visited by the client of [redacted] where he was embarrassed for the problems that [redacted] has caused the company and the lies he had said to the police. What happened was that the client wanted a custom made cabinet door and told me that the contractor would sign to pay the differenceThen I spoke with the contractor about what the client wanted and the contractor disagreed on signing and paying the difference on what the client wantedSo both the client and the contractor contacted the police after I told them that they needed to sign the nexus and pay the difference to have the doors installedBoth the contractor and client lied about not knowing about the deal with the doors, I told the police that the nexus was here and if they wanted the doors they would have to come and sign ( This happened on Monday )Two days later the client came to my workshop and agreed on signing the nexus and apologized about lying to the police and asked for forgiveness about [redacted] and all the troubles he causedAs courtesy of the company we gave him a discount on the doors and he signed the nexus and payed the difference and the problems were fixed[redacted] [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Supposedly my complaint had been resolved by him implying that I am trying to make money from filing a complaint. I have text messages showing that this business owner had quoted that he owed me money for work not completed. I had also sent a text to confirm whether the quote he gave me included removal, disposal, etc. His response that I was only responsible for the flooring tile. Now, he is saying he did not quote nor mention all of these additional charges. Yes, there were issues with booking, and I had said I understood having to book out. He at no point I. Time would confirm a new start date and estimated job completion after repeated text messages and phone calls I was also harassed to the point I needed to threaten to get the police involved because he would not stop sending me text messages. He started taking pictures of himself in other people's homes doing work. I began to feel threatened by him and have since turned to the internet and the BBB FOR SUPPORT. Instead of closing the case, it may be good to ensure I had been notified of the business's response. I only now see the response after checking because I had not heard back. Please actually investigate this issue. I have had contractors come out who have looked at his work and confirm the job was poorly executed. The tiles were not cut correctly around the outlets and will need to be ground down. Grout has been smeared inside the outlets. They are not flush within the sheet rock. One outlet had been loosened and pulled out to make room for tile leaving the live wires out and is a hazard. Outlets are now tripping off and there is a potential fire hazard. I can't believe a man who says he cares about his customer's would knowing leave a house in this condition and claim it was work well done. I asked on several occasions when the outlet covers would be placed back on, and why he left a switch hanging beneath my sink. His response had been that there was not enough room to move the outlet next to my dishwasher and that it was fine where it was. Why would he have moved my outlets if he didn't have the ability? This is far from resolved. I did not ask him to deliver the tiles I offered to take them in my SUV taking several trips, but he insisted in having them loaded by a forklift into the back of his truck. He had also not stated that it was his day off. I had notified him that I had found the tiles that I wanted and he could meet me at any time to look them over and let me know how many I would need. I met him at the time he told me to be there. His story is all lies except that I did have an issue with my phone. He scheduled a week later to start the job. He hadn't told me he would only install the granite at that time. A week went by and he did part of the tile. And then I didn't see him for another week despite him saying he would be there Monday then in two days then on that Friday he said 2 days would be the following Monday. I started having more concerns about quality as I started looking closer and closer at the work. I can provide statements from other companies that are currently quoting cost to correct his work. I was also told that there is always a gap when you install tile, so it is flush on one side and off center on the other. The contractors I have talked to now have said the installation was rushed and poorly performed. They should have been installed from the center and worked out Ward to prevent this issue. I would like the tile work refunded as well as the cost of my tile so I can have it torn down and done properlyNotification to the contractors insurance as I am now finding there are far more serious problems than originally thought. And the refund amount to which he had originally advised. I would also like a refund for the cost of my backsplash tiles and labor charges as the work was poorly done and needs correction.Regards, [redacted]

Tell us why here...I [redacted] was hired by client [redacted] to install counters of granite in his kitchen, tile backsplash and tile floor on March 24, in this contract, at no time did he charge charges for electricity service because our company does not perform that title="labor ">work.I personally accompany her to choose the tile of her apartment since the client had told me that I did not have transportation to get the tile on my day off and being very kind to the client help him pick up the material and take it home. From the beginning I gave the date of initiation of the project when I was ready to start calling the client on several occasions and I could not contact her after a week she contacted me and expressed her apologies because she says that her child had blocked my contact and So I could not call or receive my calls, logically as a company at that time and I was attending another customer because his week had already passed and it corresponded to another customer my attention even so try in non-working hours do their work and finally I Install the granite countertops and backsplash of your kitchen only remained pending the kitchen floor and let your dishes run all dishes and your kitchen was functional until the day of the birthday of your son to which I was invited as a way to express their gratitude And satisfaction for my work where in fact I recommend it with your neighbors for such a good job. Then we agreed and stayed on Monday of the next week began to put the floor and I explained that I had to move all the furniture and leave the area where iva to put the floor free and the customer was annoyed express that the company should do That work and I explain that we can not move furniture or decorative objects because if they break then we have to pay and it is not our business to move furniture and she was upset and said she did not want to do the floor with us that would hire another company to do The floor and I told her I agreedThen she told me that if I did not give her $ of refund she would put negative comments from the company all over the internet and I felt very used by this person and did not agree to her chantage because I did An excellent job in your house and here I attach photo that proves it.In fact his kitchen had a bar which made it smaller and older and I removed his bar to cover it on an island.I regret that customers use these things to get money because they know the importance of this page for companies and the damages that may occur

Both contractor and the customer did not agree on what they wanted for the house many decisions were being made every day one what should be added to the house and cabinets like the medicine cabinet and a oven cabinet were never part of the contract and was asked later as in changes to what the
client wantedUp to last minute changes were made on what floor the kitchen was going to be, with so many changes to the contract that were never suppose to be part of the contract there was no way we were gonna be able to finish the job in the time that was given to usThe cabinets are installed and the doors are ready to be installed but they need to sign the contract extension and agree on who is gonna be paying for all the extra's they have added to the contractWhich is a balance of 3800$Once they have paid the extra's to the contract and sign the contract extension we'll install the doors and finish our contract.Jorge Ricardo Machin President of ATXGranite

I want to emphasize that this person always emphasizes their complaints in services that do not pay or are in the contract such as electricity service, to clarify doubts as to whether there was a good service that would provide photos of the granite countertops of their kitchen and backsplash Of the kitchen and so you can clearly see the quality of the work we did and for the only one we charge and agree on the contract, we always tell you that we are not accredited or do electrical workShe knew that she had to hire people qualified for electricity. This person started sending offensive sms about and decided to block it because he was bothering all the time and offending

I am rejecting this response because:
They have still not addressed the issue of the amount due. The business sent a message stating 20 dollars was to be credited. I asked how this number was acheived when he arrived with my unfinished doors and drawers. We went through the invoice, and he agreed that he had missed the 200 dollars credit for the backsplash. At this point [redacted] advised he needed to repay 220 for work not completed. He also stated his wife had performed the bookeeping which could have also accounted for this error. He stated he did not bring his checkbook and would return with the check. He had only expected to pay me 20 dollars. He did not pay the 20 nor did he return to pay the 220. He did not decide I owed additional money until after I posted poor reviews. His invoice should not change due to my reviews. Also, putting the outlet covers that he removed back in the outlets are not electrical services. Covering electric outlets so they do not get grout on them is not electrical. Cutting the tiles to ensure the outlets have space is part of laying the tile correctly. I have to have another company correct the tile work in order to have some of the electrical outlets fit in their locations. These were not moved except my Mr. [redacted], so he could lay the tiles without cutting them. I do not believe sending text messages about my needing to shower and telling me I stink and I am dirty were to assist in resolving our issues. He was attempting to ridicule and degrade in the hopes I would not pursue the issue. I refuse to be bullied by this company. I have pictures of the shoddy work and can get statements from current contractors who are bidding regarding the issues that have been caused. I would also be willing to go through his insurance to have them as the damages if Mr. [redacted] would supply his insurance number.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this claim by the business because:1) he has consistently lied about the process. An example is that the doors he shows in his pictures are doors that he made, NOT the doors that were contracted for. What was contracted for was a door manufactured by Patton Door Company of Austin that was a raised panel Maple door with additional trim. [redacted] claimed that he had ordered these cabinets from Patton Doors but had filled out the order form incorrectly and there for the doors were made wrong. I called Patton Doors and asked them if he had ordered the doors. in fact the ONLY doors EVER ordered from Patton by [redacted] or his company were the display doors he shows to customers. This is a classic bait and switch which he perpetuates on customers.2) his claim that changes were made that did not allow him time to complete the job is completely false. These changes were made before the first payment was made, which means he had never even purchased the materials to start the job. All of the schedule for the cabinets in the home were established after we gave him the order with the deposit he required.3) his claim that we ordered extra cabinets is untrue as these are on the print that he was given from the beginning of the job and from which he derived his bid.4) he indeed installed these cabinet doors UNSTAINED in the home so that we could obtain the final inspection from the appraiser to allow closing to be set. He had agreed to come and get them and stain them after the inspection on August 24th and have them stained and reinstalled by the 28th of August. He did not show up until the 31st, and took the doors and has not returned them. He is holding them to extort more money from the homeowner. It is possible that the homeowner is going to pay him which will look like they agree with his claims, however they are agreeing under duress not because it is right.5) if [redacted] was going to charge for something extra that he claims he has provided, he should have created a change order document showing that we MADE a change. At no time did he do this. Suggesting that we are at fault for his mismanaging his business processes is untrue.
Attached are the only documents that we have been provided for this project, and for which [redacted] has been paid. Copies of these payments is available upon request. This has been the worst experience I have had in 30 years of home building with any trade, and I highly suggest anyone who is considering this company to refrain from doing so.
