Gordon installed a vent in kitchen, which he messed up a ceiling tile. He told me he would replace the tile. I have called numerous and he says he is coming to fix the problem but never shows up. Also need to finish the job by Chalking an area.

Desired Outcome

Repair I expect Gordon to replace the ceiling tile and Chalking the area or refund $50.00

Gordon M is a con artist. I had broken dishwasher. He showed up right away, identified the problem as control board and took a deposit for a new part. It was to arrive in 2 days then it was the next week. On third week I went online and found the part myself. I began calling to get refund back but he has never answered or returned several calls. Basically he stole the deposit money. I'm trying to decide if I should waste my time in small claims court.

gave 80 dollar deposit for part to be ordered on 05/24/18 was told part would be in 06/1/18 or 06/2/18 call several times no response
Product_Or_Service: control board

Desired Outcome

Refund my deposit back

service call was invoiced at $125 incorrectly (advertised as $90) and a deposit was placed for parts at $100. Service was scheduled and never perform
ON 5/10/18, I called Gordon's due to an advertisement stating same day service for $90. *** arrived, stated that I needed a new valve on my refrigerator and a new filter. Charged me $125 for service call and $100 for deposit on parts. Immediately, after he left, I called him and told him that he incorrectly billed me for service and that the charge online was $90. He apologized and stated that he was aware of the ad but made a mistake and would reimburse me when he came to complete the service. He said that the parts would be in one week and would call to schedule the service. I called him on 5/22 when I never heard back from him. He informed me that the parts just arrived on 5/21 and he scheduled the repair on 5/29 at 9:30 am. He never showed up. I called five times throughout the day and left five messages. He never responded to my call. I called the next day and asked for a call back and refund or I would file a complaint with the Revdex.com and he never called me back.

Desired Outcome

I am looking for a full refund of the incorrect service fee of $125 plus the parts deposit of $100. Total refund $225.

Customer Response • Jun 27, 2018

I contacted the state police and they got my money refunded.

The refrigerator at my house stopped working all of a sudden (freezer would work, fridge would not stay as cool as it should) so my father had given me Gordon's Appliances number because he knew him and his brother very well from work. Gordon had contacted me on a Friday morning, I told him the issue and he asked me for the model# to my fridge so he could bring the correct part. I was very pleased that he came out that morning (which I was not expecting) and spent maybe a little over an hour defrosting my freezer and coils and replacing the "timer" that he believed was the issue that was not allowing the air to circulate properly. About 2 1/2 weeks later the same issue starting happening (I was told at the time that the part had a lifetime warranty). My boyfriend had called Gordon's number and did not receive an answer so he left a voicemail explaining the issue and that he had been there previously to replace the part. As of today, it has been almost a full week and have not received a call back. I understand a small business may be busy but I would think that we would have received a phone call back with atleast some explanation since we were trying to be a returning customer. Wouldn't refer to anyone I know.

More of the same. Gordon showed up at our house, spent 15 minutes looking at our refrigerator. He said he would order the part and be back in a week or 2 to finish the repair. He charges $90 for the service call and took a $60 deposit for the replacement part. After months of follow up calls, during which he blamed the part being on back-order, the delivery delayed, etc...he finally confirmed that he had the part in his hand and would come to finish the repair 2 days later. He never showed up, and has refused to answer dozens of calls. This man is nothing less than a crook. Stay away.

Company was sub-contracted by GE to deliver and install a dishwasher. Company blew-up several appoitments and will not call back.
Company was sub-contracted by GE to deliver and install a dishwasher. Company blew-up several appoitments and will not call back. After several calls, he has the dishwasher in his posesion with not delivery or installation date in sight.

Desired Outcome

Customer Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I am highly surprised by Gordon's Appliance & Repair audacity to issue this response, which is full of lies. The fact that Gordon's Appliance & Repair is claiming that I wanted to schedule after hours is just untrue, his hours of operations are listed as Monday thru Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm. The latest appointment that I requested was 4:30pm, which is within the stipulated working hours.

The two appointments that Gordon's Appliance & Repair is referring to were scheduled and confirmed with Gordon with GE Appliances support. In both cases the appointments were confirmed and documented in the customer file kept by GE Appliances. The first appointment was scheduled for November 11th at 11:00am; this appointment was confirmed by Gordon's Appliance & Repair with GE Appliances and me. The second appointment was scheduled for November 22 at 4:30opm, and once again the Gordon's Appliance & Repair confirmed with GE Appliances.

Again, Gordon is claiming that the appointment was afterhours, why did Gordon's Appliance & Repair confirmed the appointments with GE Appliances and me? The appointment and associated information was documents in my customer file and I am able to provide with evidence of what I am stating if deemed necessary by the Revdex.com.

Also, Gordon's Appliance & Repair is claiming that I was rude. I was not rude, I asked Gordon's Appliance & Repair why he missed the scheduled appointments and he got all defensive.

This business needs to be taken down or some sort of action be taken, there are several complaints about his company listed on Revdex.com and the Web.
