I was traveling through Denver with my RV when the slide out mechanism shaft brokeI went to several camping and RV stores in the area with no luck of any of them finding parts for meI took it to Auburn Tool and Machine Cotoo see if they could supply with a new shaftI was told by Sam that he could do it but there was a $100,minimum charge for any workI needed the part fixed so I said to go aheadI made big mistakesI didn't get a quote and I left the entire mechanism with him so he could make sure everything fitThe shaft that was broken was approximately inches long and 1/inch in diameterit had to have holes drilled though the shaft for spiral pins to turn a couple of gearsI'm thinking not such a big jobWhen I went to pick it up I got the SHAFT alright$for maybe hour of labor and a x 1/metal shaft with holes drilled through itI would think even if it was made with Titanium
it would cost less that thatAs mentioned before, I made the mistake of leaving the entire mechanism with him so he wouldn't give it back unless I paid himBeware if you are for out of townHe may be an honest business man for his return customers but he dosen't appear to be one for travelersI asked for the shaft and I got the SHAFT
