Good morning
sorry this is the second notice but I did not see the first one
this is a very unfortunate set of circumstances because who is actually liable? my personal feeling is the company that painted his car complete because of lack of adhesion of the paint to the body panel and had they
prepped the car correctly this would not have happenwith that being said the company that Mr *** had paint the car complete did not remove any of the body parts off the car meaning, bumpers, tail lamps etcso what happens is the paint will bridge from one panel to another. for this reason along Progressive insurance refused to pay to have the bumper removed from the car because of the paint being bridgedthere is no way to look at the paint to know if it is going to stick or notwe take all precautions we can under these circumstancesone thing that Mr *** mentioned is that I (Bob P*** the owner) went out and took pictures and went over the car which is incorrect Chris my Manager didI had all the communication with the insurance company at the time of repairs so I do know what was talked aboutif anyone owes for this unfortunate incident I would say the paint company should take responsibility for (not sure if he has gone back to them to have it covered under there warrantee or not or even talked to them) because under no circumstance will our tapes pull off paint on a properly prepped vehicleif they refuse to do that then the Insurance company would be next because they are the ones that caused the damageI fully understands Mr *** frustration as I would be too but there is no negligence by my company, you have to mask off the area to keep from getting over spray on the vehiclethis is not an option especially sense Progressive insurance REFUSED to have the bumper removed based on the prior Maaco type paint job
Please let me know if there is any more information I can share with you or Mr *** because I believe he is correct in his frustration but it is pointed at the wrong company

because we have completed other work for him in the past I will spot in the ends of the bumper at not cost and no guaranteeobviously the paint is going to was off in the future based on the inferior paint job and lack of preparation which I can not hold myself responsible forI have my Manager Chris contacting him to let him know as "Good will" only am I authorizing spotting in of the ends of the rear bumperthis is not to be misconstrued as an admission of fault but I understand the customers point of view and sometimes you have to take the high road

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meSincerely, *** ***

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: I brought the vehicle in for repairs with the paint totally intact! Therefore, I should have left the shop with the paint totally intact because that is how the shop received itThe paint was there on arrival and the paint was missing when I picked up the vehicle when the job was finishedIt is irrelevant what kind of paint was applied-- that was my choice, cheap or expensive! The fact remains the paint was there upon delivery to the shop, and was missing when it was retrieved after the work was performed by the company! Please professionally replace the missing paint as a professionally experienced business would--customer satisfaction makes for a long-term relationship!!!*** ***
