Audi of North Atlanta Reviews (%countItem)

My wife and I were in the market for a new /used vehicle and had looked at a couple dealerships a previous weekend with bad results. On our way out of town that day, (last stop at 5:30) we took a chance to stop by the Audi dealer N. Atl and found a couple of prospects on the lot. Got in touch with them during the following week and decided to give them a try. Charles *** met us at the front office and from that point on we felt like we were real people without the pressure usually felt at other dealerships. Charles took the time to show us the cars we were interested in and helped us find the car for us. He even went the extra mile and added a little extra outside the sale. I was really surprised when we did not get the phrase, "What do I have to do to get you into this vehicle TODAY?" We are very happy with our New/Used/CPO Q5 and would HIGHLY recommend Audi North Atlanta to anyone wanting personable sales people that go the extra mile and NOT wanting the typical pressure to buy. Thanks to the team at Audi North Atlanta from the *** family!!!!

Misdiagnosis issue that cost me 1628.00, bumper not attached correctly, missing protective cover service charge for gas 15.73 & bad customer service
On May 20th I took my Audi Q5 2009 3.2 to the Audi North Atlanta dealership for a diagnostic. When I booked the appt. in the calendar I wrote in the notes section (when I make a complete stop or slow down my car shuts off after driving for a while). When I arrived at the location I spoke with another guy who said Robert was on break but he would be with me shortly. Once I meet with Robert I let him know about the issues I was having the same as I listed on the calendar for the appt. Robert told me it would take an hour to do the diagnostic. After the diagnostic my car had multiple fault codes PXXXXXX Bank1 system too rich, PXXXXXX secondary air system bank2 mixture adaption system too rich, injection system bank1 insufficient-Additional DIA needed to determine failure per ROXXXXXX-Check and advise. This the reading they provided me in a text message. My advisor Robert stated I needed a secondary air cleaning and an n80 pump. I asked him would this fix my issue. His reply was yes. I asked are you sure my car would stop shutting off on me. Robert ensured me that my car would not shut off anymore in idle position once I get those two items serviced it won't shut off again in idle. When I received the text to pick up my car on a Wednesday I felt it was a bit unusual because he said it would take long it would be ready on Thursday or Friday plus they had to order the part. He also told me this would take a long time to fix so they would provide me a loaner car. When I received the loaner car it had a half tank of gas. I let Robert know that I could pick my car around lunch time Thursday May 23rd. I returned the loaner car on a half tank of gas but my credit card was charged 15.73. I let Robert know of this issue and he said he would get it fixed but never did. When I picked up my car I noticed the same smell it had when it's about to shut off. I bought this to Roberts's attention but he stated that's probably just the chemicals from the cleaning. My car was driving really rough and it took me an hour to get home. Later that evening I went to get dinner and my car shut off on me and the check engine light came back on in the driver thru that evening. The Audi dealership was closed so I text Robert about the issue and I called the dealership to speak with him, he told me to bring in. I received another loaner car but this time I received a text alerting me of how much gas was in the loaner car, but I did not receive one the first time. I drop the car of he told me he would have an update for me on Monday. After I dropped the car I pointed out my front end bumper to Robert and a credit card charge of 15.73. I received the update bright and early Saturday morning not Monday saying I needed more work to my car. I really felt this was too fast as well. I thought they were going to tell me they would have to do another cleaning but instead he stated I needed a fuel pump. The crazy part in all of this the techs aren't really sure what I need. I went back and forth in a positive way trying to get my issue resolved. I honestly think they did not fix my car I think they just took my money. When I picked up my car the second time my bumper hadn't been properly put back into place and the fee of 15.73 was for gas that they did not reversed back to me. When I got home 2 days later to top off my oil my protective piece was missing. I called several times to ask if I can have my part back Joey stated he would call me back. I am very sick to my stomach about my money 1628.00 is a lot of money to waste when my car is still performing the same when I took it to the location. I put trust in a company that took advantage of me. I now know could've went to a side shop and gotten better service.

Desired Outcome

I would like for the company to issue me a refund of $1628.00 since the Service Representative ensured me that the my car would not stop any more idle position or provide me full service at no charge and labor for the fuel pump. I would also like them to reattach my bumper correctly and replace my protective cover under my hood, reverse the $15.73 fee for a gas charge on a loaner vehicle. I would also like for them to stop saying they understand what I'm going through because they do not. Sixteen hundred dollars is a lot of money for me to waste and my car is still doing the same exact thing. I really would prefer a refund.

I spoke to Ms. in great lengths on Tuesday, June 4, 2019. Summed up the conversation was as follows. I thank you for your feedback. We know how incredibly frustrating and disappointing major mechanical problems can be. That is why we always let our clients know that sometimes the diagnostic process is a step by step journey. Sometimes the first step is the fix and sometimes it's the third, fourth or fifth. All we can do is work within the budgetary means of our client and follow the technical guidance provided by Audi, the manufacturer. This is exactly what we did in your case. I'm sorry that the outcome was so incredibly costly. I also offered her an additional discount and advice for the additional work that is needed on her vehicle. Ms. seemed to have a better understanding of our Audi approved diagnostic process and that sometimes vehicle have more than just one problem creating the same concern.

I recieved a response from Joesph. He offered me a 25% discount on the fuel pump. He stats he will reverse the fee for the gas and place my protective cover if they are unable to locate the old one. I still not completely satisfied because as he stated the fuel pump may or may not fix the issue. This may leave me out of money. To avoid any issues like before and being misdiagnosed I would prefer to have the service done free of charge or just refund me my money back.

Audi of North Atlanta Response • Jun 13, 2019

There is no determination of a misdiagnosis whatsoever and so therefore we cannot be held responsible to pay for the repairs the vehicle needs. We've made every effort to assist Ms. with her difficult situation. We're very sorry that this happened to her but can offer nothing further at this time.

Customer Response • Jun 14, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I did not accept the offer because Joseph left me feeling very uneasy about the situation. He stated several times that the fuel pump may or may not fix my issue. The fact that I had to contact the Revdex.com just to get a call back was not good either. I also felt uneasy because he bought up maybe I should purchase a new car, his GM could get me in a nice car. I felt that was not a good approach either. It seems like some of the people Audi North Atlanta are sharks trying to get more. How can I trust them to fix anything it if something was to go wrong with a new or certified vehicle; if I can't get them to figure out was wrong with my current vehicle? "Being Ahead through Technology", not standing behind that says a lot. If you have the products that ensures you to tell you what is wrong with vehicles I wouldn't be facing this problem. I was ensured by Robert that my car would be fixed. I wish I didn't have to go through this. If I was told from the start the n80 pump and the cleaning may or may not fix your issue, this would've went differently. I tried multiple times to come to address my situation to Robert and the Service Manager but I started getting treated differently. I have never experienced anything like this. The level of customer service at this location has been nice/nasty. The entire time I've stayed professional, calm and patient with you all. I don't think I will ever get over this feeling of know I have been taking advantage of by a large Corporation. No one deserves this.

Very Unsatisfied Customer.

promised no out of pocket cost for tag with lease of Q7
I want express my dissatisfaction with the deal done on lease of q7. During the process I ask if the tag was included in the deal since I reside in the state of MS and was promised it was. When going to pickup my tag I am told that the dealer only paid $14 for the registration but. On of the other fees associated with purchasing the tag. Was told later that they would not cover the ad volarem tax which is included with the tag fee in the state of MS but was assured nothing would be out of pocket when obtaining my tag. This was all a part of the deal, so I was told. Now I'm stuck with a $963.05 for my tag that was supposed to be taken care of when my deal was done during negotiations. Salesperson clearly stated that I would have no out of pocket expense when obtaining this tag and this really drove me to finalizing the deal. This has really left a bad taste in my mouth about Audi of north Atlanta and would like to get this taken care of as promised. I was looking forward to completing future business with dealership but not after this deal.

Desired Outcome

Payment of fees needed to obtain tag as promised.

Audi of North Atlanta Response • May 21, 2019

The money assessed is an ad valorem property tax determined by the state independent from the initial registration of the vehicle. We have no way to determine this figure so there would be no way to include this in our figures. It is entirely separate from the purchase.

In November '18 I purchased a used BMW off their lot and in the financing office, is where the issues began. When asking about the pricing of a extended service contract, I was quoted a number that was 50% the value of the car? It took me threatening to leave the dealer to get them to come down on price. I found a better product at a better price ($1000 cheaper, more miles and more years) so I tried to cancel the policy. It took me over a week of leaving messages to various dealer employees before I FINALLY got a hold of someone. I told that person I wanted to cancel the policy and he told me no issues and that the $4,500 I paid would be deducted from my loan principle since I financed. This was December 21st, 2018.

In Jan I did not see the credit on my account and so I tried calling again. It took me multiple days of again leaving messages to get a hold of someone in person. They told me it was an accounting issue and that they kick started the paperwork this time and that I should see the credit at the end of the month. End of the month comes and still nothing. I decided to wait another week to see and nothing. So I call again and after a day or 2 I get a hold of the original finance person who sold me the policy. They said that the check was being processed and that NOW at the end of Feb I will see the credit. End of Feb comes and still no credit on my account. So now I get a hold of a manger who informs me no paper work has been filed and that no check was ever cut. I send him an email confirming that I tried to cancel the policy in December and he tells me that the check will be sent to my financing company ASAP. That was March 7th. Today is March 20th and nothing has happened.

Desired Outcome

Billing Adjustment At this point, I just want my money refunded. The aftermarket warranty company NEVER received payment for the policy I purchased and then cancelled so this is extremely concerning.

Audi of North Atlanta Response • Mar 25, 2019

We are very sorry for the delay in processing the cancellation. I confirmed the check for $4500 was overnighted to the lienholder last Friday. They should receive it today and the client will see the credit as soon as they post the check to his account.

I got a great deal on an Audi and the salesmen were friendly. However, I was deceived about their "personal ID check", which is actually a hard inquiry credit check. I already had my own financing so there was no need to pull my credit, I could've provided additional identification if needed. Prior to purchasing I was assured multiple times by my salesman and the manager that it was simply an personal ID check and will NOT show up as a inquiry. A day after my purchase I received a notification from Credit Karma alerting me of a "hard" inquiry from Audi of North Atlanta. I spoke with the manager, he stuck with his "personal ID check" story, but eventually said it will show up as an inquiry (the exact opposite of what he said the day before). Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchased, but I did not have to be lied to in order to make the purchase, a bad business practice, but then again, what can you expect from car salesmen. Its not the end of the world, but If they were dishonest about something as small a "personal ID check" I can only imagine what else they're dishonest about.

Audi of North Atlanta Response • Oct 31, 2018

We are very sorry for the miscommunication in regards to the credit pull. Our company policy requires this as it is the only way we can clear what we call "red flags" or possible identity thieves. The intention is to protect our consumers not to create undue inquiries. We appreciate the feedback and we need to train all staff to be very clear on exactly why we do it and that it is a hard inquiry.
Again, we apologize and always regret when a client has less than a great experience here at Audi North Atlanta. However, we're always prepared to learn and grow.

In an attempt to initiate the purchase process with Audi North Atlanta, I was informed that my credit would have to checked in order to proceed with financing. Once the financing process began I was asked to provide documentation that I did not have with me at the time I was in the dealership. I went home and tried to retrieve the documentation and Audi connected with me again to get additional documentation that they did not originally request and informed me that they were not sure if I would be able to get me financed for a car without this information. I was not aware that I needed this documentation prior to approving a credit check. After several days I have not been able to get the required documentation but received a notice from equifax that my credit score had changed. After checking into the equifax notice I discovered that Audi North Atlanta financing banks had accumulated over 10 inquiries on my credit, dropping my credit score over 20 points. I was not informed that they would initiate this many credit checks and that my score would drop as a result of this process. I was also not informed by Audi that they would require additional documentation in order to get me financed for a loan.

Desired Outcome

Correction to a credit report I would like Audi North Atlanta to do whatever it takes to restore my credit back to its original standings prior to their attempts to broker with various banks. They have not followed up with me on the financing and have also further lowered my credit score impacting my ability to get financed with other dealerships.

Audi of North Atlanta Response • Jul 11, 2018

We are very sorry that our process to gain the best financing terms were unclear. In some cases, it is necessary to seek out the best approval from multiple lenders and thus multiple inquiries are made. As for needed docs, those are requested by the lender not by Audi N Atlanta. We are only an indirect lender and so we have no input as to what docs will be requested. We can only pass the information on to you.

We recently visited Audi in Alpharetta to have the bushings repaired. The job was supposedly completed. Yesterday we brought the vehicle back to Audi, this time we visited the South Atlanta location as we recently moved. While waiting for them to assess the current issue (unrelated), my husband was advised that the front bushings needed to be replaced. He advised them that was completed at the Audi in Alpharetta just a few months back. They again stayed that was clearly not the case. I contacted *** at Alpharetta Audi and after some research called me back and left a message indicating that the receipt had an error and in fact they HAD replaced the correct parts, it was just written wrong. I feel that not only is this a safety issue but an ethical issue. I have my doubts that it was merely a typo. I have a copy of the original reciept in the event someone needs to review it. *** indicated it would be 'corrected? so that it showed what they actually repaired. Please note that we entrust the dealership with repairs for all 3 luxury cars we own and neither Range Rover or Mercedes have ever given us such grief. My next step will be to work with a lawyer and other agencies to ensure my voice is heard and the issue is resolved to our satisfaction. I feel they should make good on what the receipt says since THAT is what I, as the customer goes by. I also do not want a call back from the Service Manager and would prefer someone higher up.

Desired Outcome

Refund As this is an issue that needed immediate repair, we had it fixed at the South Atlanta location and would simply like the cost to do so reimbursed to us, totaling roughly $900.

Audi of North Atlanta Response • Jul 14, 2018

After reviewing the initial multi-point inspection of the vehicle and then the final repair order or receipt, I determined that the repair done was consistent with the initial findings and this is stated clearly. We simply mistakenly used the word "upper" instead of "lower" in one instance but in every other reference "lower" was used.
Please contact me discuss further if necessary.

Customer Response • Jul 16, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The company clearly indicated that they wrote one thing and did another, mistake or not, as the consumer it is clear that they were in the wrong.

Audi of North Atlanta Response • Jul 17, 2018

We never indicated the repair was done on a different part. We simply mistyped a word in the description of which part was failing. We correctly identified the part that was actually replaced.

I paid advance of $1000.00 on August 16th towards 2017 Used Audi Q5 worth $43000.00 and got a email from sales person on Aug 17th saying the vehicle I paid advance for is not available. I was asked to choose other vehicle from the inventory. I could not find any other vehicle from the inventory at the time and asked to return my advance and was agreed by the sales person. I did not receive my advance payment back till now(Nov 23, 2017)after sending couple of email and also copying the Manager***.

My question is if I do not take the vehicle I paid advance, Dealership would not refund the advance. Now since dealership could not provide the vehicle(for which I paid advance) what compensation will they pay? Instead dealership did not refund my advance till now(Nov 23).
Product_Or_Service: 2017 Audi Q5

Desired Outcome

Refund I would like to get my refund back to my credit card.

Audi of North Atlanta Response

We explained that it may take a period of time to find the desired vehicle. We do not feel that we misled or misinformed the client. He requested to get his deposit refunded and we did. Due to the nature of our accounting office, it did take a period of time to generate the check. We're sorry if the client feels it was too lengthy.

Customer Response

I did not receive the check as of today 12/15/2017

Audi of North Atlanta Response

I just confirmed that we in fact did issue a refund to client's credit card on Nov 27th. I was mistaken about the check.

Customer Response

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I received my amount.
